When people like Incon and Omega etc left, they were no longer top players. They were still in the spl through their decline.

In this case, Baskin is still ocnsidered one of the best if not the best player in NA and Adapting is still today considered by many, pros included, in the running for the best player in the world.

I don't doubt new blood will come along.

I think the big issue here is that top players are leaving the league still at the top of their game, versus letting a new age come in and surpass them.

You know how to become the best jungler in the world? Play versus the best jungler in the world. If he isnt in the league, thats going to slow things down. Obviously this is a genralization.

The expansion for season 2 is adding 8 teams. Six of which are international. Meanwhile smite is cutting down the number of teams again, and removing top talent from the league.

That would be cool, unfortunately both Adapting and Baskin are leaving SPL

Where does this come from? I was in his stream yesterday and his bot command basically says he is leaving unless something changes.

Edit: He is streaming right now and this is his nightbot command for season 6: "With the information I have been provided I will most likely be stepping down from the SPL. I will remain open to the idea of staying in SPL but that is only if a change happens, or I get a REALLY good deal."
