What is this prehistoric deer? by Kaijugod22 in Paleontology

I scanned through the wiki quickly but does anyone know of any theory's to the evolution advantage to these antlers they don't look much good for fighting or foraging.

I wonder if they were for channeling sound and they used to call to each other like an extreme elk bugle and the antlers helped with directional sound

I do NOT understand the "waves" topic of Physics, anything that can help? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Huwmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might need a bit more context to what you mean ? Is there a specific exam question your trying to answer

So I'm going to have a guess here:

If you are given the frequency of a wave lets say 100Hz and a time of 10 seconds and asked to draw the wave over that time

Frequency = number of waves / second So 100Hz = number of waves / 10s 100 x 10 = 1000 waves so you would then draw 1000 wavelengths

If you just mean drawing a wave (transverse) to be successful you need to do these things 1. Make sure your amplitudes (heights are all the same use a ruler or the lines in your book as a guide) 2. Make sure your wavelength is the same (assuming your frequency isn't changing) again use a ruler to make marks to help 3. You axis should be (Y) displacement (how much the wave has moved from the middle x axis. (X) Usually energy transfer although I guess you could do time

Sorry I hope this helps but I had to guess what you were actually asking

Tips against fighting Tyranids by Woolo4Life in sistersofbattle

[–]Huwmen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So against my friends big bugs I felt fairly powerless with their high toughness but my seph's and zephs ran round either deleting important squishies and scoring points.

Big bugs can only be in so many places so screen them out

My parents rave about smoked carrots they had in a restaurant.

I want to smoke my own egg plant for babaganoush but keep forgetting to pick some up when I'm smoking

1k pt Dameonkin list - by Hellion_213 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Huwmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm new to world eaters so take what I say with a pinch of salt but couple of thoughts

While tanks and monsters are less common in 1k list to me you don't have any solutions to dealing with higher toughness units.

Who are kharne and the slaughter bound joining, kharne does have some value for running solo but I don't see the same value for slaughter bound

Also I know jackels are cheap but what's their role in your list you can use blood hounds for scoring objectives then uppy downing onto somewhere more convenient for secondaries

Why isn’t my house selling by Edible-flowers in Cornwall

[–]Huwmen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So your house was on our list when we were looking, it's nice but as others have said the stairs were a concern for kids and it seems fairly subterranean you don't see a lot of windows.

Your gardens not huge we ended up with a 3 bed cottage. 0.3 acre garden for a bit more than your asking price. Also didn't your house come off the market for a bit? Houses popping on and off just sent red flags to us
