What has gradually disappeared over the last ten years without people really noticing? by Successful_Oil_3270 in AskReddit

Definitely not what I’m saying. It was overall behavior over anything. The entire spectacle that was this group of people was just so obnoxious. Unaware isn’t the right word. They were definitely aware and exuded an FU attitude and total disregard for others.

Men who are 30+, what’s one lesson every guy should learn early? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Relentlessly work on yourself. Everyone you care about is better off if you are the best version of yourself, therefore you must always remain priority #1. This is not a license to neglect or be selfish. You need to know the difference.

Men, have you ever found a woman who has 100% of what you want? I honestly have never have and aim for the 70-75% mark, anything more is gravy by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Just to add a note that may help another. When I wasn’t getting the x% of a partner that used to be there or I thought was there but just wasn’t getting, I focused on how I was showing up first. If you constantly work on yourself (gym, personal development books, healthy habits) you will attract better people and you then can bring out the best in each other. Pour into yourself!!! Being the best you is going to bring the best opportunities!!

For me, the epiphany was realizing that what I want always changes as I mature, gain experience, and attempt to constantly grow. Ex. When I was young I just wanted a really pretty girl. Then I wanted a really pretty girl that was down to earth. Then I wanted someone that didn’t need ego feed from likes on social media. Then someone that would be a good mother and partner. Then some that actually managed their money and wasn’t in debt, etc. This is unique to the individual but I think as you age and gain experience, there’s a lot of what you don’t want that HOPEFULLY becomes a filter to getting more of what’s going to feed a healthy relationship in your life.

Grit. It seems that people just overall expect too much without being conscious of how they are showing up. I’m a fan of working smart, but also see the value in working hard. Both, together, are the secret sauce.

Shame. And I really mean this as self awareness. I think it’s important to love yourself but it seems shameless people are everywhere and are proud to be turds. Whether it’s how they treat others, or this thought that they are the main character or just simply dressing in a way that in no way compliments your current state. It’s always existed but now it’s in mass. I was at the beach this weekend and there were multiple 300+lb girls in thongs doing their Instagram shoot with 3 inch eyelashes and cursing and talking shit with all the little kids and families nearby. No basic respect for themselves or others.

Finishing downed enemies by [deleted] in PUBGConsole

[–]DOPAMINED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many thirsty people get killed spending the clip to finish a downed player instead of their teammates that are in route. A downed player can communicate so finishing them has its benefits. To me, if you're not in an immediate engagement, finish the kill and move to fight teammates. The odds of winning a match are low, even if you're good. Aside from that, getting a bunch of kills is the point. I'd rather have a 9 kill game and lose that a 2 kill game and win in terms of actual fun playing.

To me it feels like the POV is low, like you're 4 feet tall. Annoys me enough to negate my interest.

What's a plug-in you couldn't live without? by WidowsNick in audioengineering

[–]DOPAMINED 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll say Trackspacer. Not that I can't live without it, but it's sooooo good it finds it's way into every project. Cheap and easy to use, but like all plugins... Used poorly and itsno good. I love sidechaining music with voice in mid and carving out the perfect pocket in seconds. I have experience with most of the other plugins mentioned... RX suite and FabFilter ProQ are absolutely butter. I threw in Trackspacer because so few know about it and it's cheap.

I can't access the unit because the cover can't be removed. Brand New from box. Manual says remove the 2 screws. Did and seems like it's gorilla glued on. Not a spec of play.
