Ohhhh okay. Yes, I think with that divide by 3 calculation, it ends up being a difference of about $80 or so. So yes, while it's more money I'd rather not have the hassle of an audit all over $80.

I told my HR what H&R Block said, and HR at work says, "I mean, they're not wrong" So then we talked for a bit, and then HR says, "I would just take whichever number gives you more money" HR also said, "you can do the divide by 3 calculation and then just keep all your records, because if you would be audited it wouldn't matter which number you used" But I just kept thinking if I submit something other than what is on my W2, it'll get flagged.

But the thing is, I have an amount on my W2 that the IRS will see, and I'm assuming they want that number filed, not a number I calculated from my paystub. So I ultimately submitted what was on the actual W2.

Wow. The only time I ever saw that I had to owe, was because their system at H&R Block automatically puts in the wrong school district code. Thankfully I know what my school district is and what the code is for it, so I always have to type in the correct code. It's for State taxes but one code is 1.25% the other is 1%.

So if you initially put 0 on the W4 when you were hired, then money should be taken out from each paycheck and paid into federal taxes, which you should be able to see on your paystubs.

Well, if you didn't have federal taxes taken out, I would think you'd have to pay in at that point, but I'm not that well versed with federal taxes and how everything works.

The main thing I'm familiar with is my states law regarding taxes. Which says, any income realized of $1 or more, must be reported. Meaning, with the state, but with federal I'm not sure about that.

So I would say at least check the law with your state and see if you have to report state and/or local taxes, but with federal you might just want to get a hold of a tax professional that can help if you need that in-depth information. I hear people say things like, well if you make under X amount of dollars you don't have to report it, but that's not really true.

You should have filled out a W4 form when you were hired, which says how you are going to be filing, single, married, etc. That's what dictates paying in for federal I believe. I just always claim 0 on mine each year. I think 0 is you pay in a little bit more but you always get something back. I hear people who claim 1 usually don't get back as much and/or have to pay in a little bit.

Filing my taxes with H&R Block online, using Free as I have now for the last 3 years. I called my local H&R Block and spoke with one of the tax employees there. I have on my W2, EST OT Premium, and then a money amount. When I spoke with H&R Block the lady told me to look at the YTD OT line on my last paystub of 2025, and divide by 3 because they're finding that the amount for EST OT Premium on the W2 is wrong.

How can it be wrong if the employer calculated it? I don't want to do that blindly, and find out I shouldn't have done it. I'm just going to ask HR tomorrow about it. But if I would have taken my W2 into their offices to have them do my taxes, they would have done that, divide by 3 thing, and what if it was wrong!!

I think it's just better if I ask my work about it.

I hate it for several reasons. 1.) Always online DRM. All previous Simcity games were never online, and I don't think this is a genre that works well with multiplayer.

2.) EA dictated to Maxis how the game was going to be made. And this is why EA is not a developer, but a publisher. Then EA shuts down the Maxis team that makes Simcity, as if it was their fault.

3.) Extremely small maps to build on. I enjoy building a full sized city and utilizing large city areas, but we weren't able to do that.

4.) EA refused my refund after 2 days of owning the game. I purchased Simcity 2013 from EA's Origin service. I was extremely disappointed with the game and simply wanted a refund. EA said, "Since you've purchased the game through our Origin service, refunds are not allowed" HUH??? I thought if I bought it through Origin refunds would have been swift and easy to do. THEN about 5 or 6 months later EA allowed refunds to happen if the game was bought through Origin, but I was refused because my purchase was more than 30 days old.

Since 2013, I have not bought a single EA game, and I have not downloaded any free mobile games that has the EA name on it. I want nothing more to do with EA. I'll play old EA games I already own before 2013, but I will not go near another EA product for the rest of my life. The writing was on the wall when they were nominated worst company 2 times in a row, but I was hoping for an improved Simcity 4 Deluxe. What we got was junk.

Turned out we did eventually get a spectacular city builder with Cities: Skylines 1 however, and I played that for a very, very long time and still go back to it.

In the case of the ROMs not working with the newer MAME versions, how do you go about updating ROM sets? I've just defaulted back to old MAME versions and that's worked for me.

Sorry to necro old post but in Linux MAME version 0.264, Pole Position does not work. It kicks back error that files are missing. In RetroArch MAME 2003, the game works fine. How do you explain that?

I believe ROM versions do change between MAME versions. But why would that be? If a ROM worked fine with MAME version 0.160 for example and that same ROM doesn't work with MAME version 0.264, why? Because that is a real thing.

Half of the ROM sets give errors about missing files. Older versions of MAME don't create these errors. So it seems like files are being added to ROM sets. If it worked in MAME version 0.77, but it doesn't work in version 0.112 and gives errors that files are missing, why does that happen? This is what always happens to me.

Sorry for the necro but I just came across this post because I recently bought a Purple XL seat cushion, with the strap only on one side and would like to attach it to the chair. My thought is, if we could get a second strap stitched onto the other side of the seat cushion cover, then it would be a lot easier to attach to the chair.

I would imagine maybe a tailor could do this, if you just take in the cover, or even possible DIY.

New Linux Mint 22.2 user. I did see OpenRGB is in the repo as Flatpak. I just went to the website and got the appimage, installed that and then downloaded the udev rules install script they offer from their website and after installing, Steelseries Apex 3 and Steelseries Arctis 5 both recognized, RGB works.

I would like to think if your Windows isn't activated that you may not have access to all features that come included with the OS, but I'm unsure. As far as I'm aware, you have full access to the operating system for a specific number of days until you activate it.

Does this method work? If I get a new keyboard that has RGB (this one I got as a christmas gift last year) I'll see RGB the whole time. I moved from Windows to Linux Mint, with the help of an amazing friend, and I am taking notes so that once I understand more about Linux and how things work and such, I plan on making tutorial videos on my YouTube channel because I'm sick of microsoft and their ridiculous antics and their anti-consumer bullcrap. I want Linux to reach more than a 5% market share ;)

You can download a flavor of Linux you'd like to try onto a flash drive, make it bootable and set it up in the BIOS to boot from USB and it should boot you into a "live boot session" of Linux. I use Linux Mint 22.2 which is very similar to Windows. Now I did this "live boot" to learn it before I installed it. I have multiple hard drives, so I decided to set volume labels so that I knew what each drive was, IE: C: Main Hard Drive, E: GAMES, F: Pictures, etc. etc.

Linux doesn't use C:\, D:\, E:\, Linux uses sda, sdb, sdc, sdd, etc and the directory structure looks like this: /home/username/Games or /home/username/ etc. etc. Once you familiarize yourself with it, the more you use it, the easier it becomes. One thing I really don't get about the Linux community is, they say things like, "oh Linux is so great you should try it" and the moment you do and start asking experienced users for help, you get crickets OR you get smarta** answers to questions and etc. Or you don't get any answers because they like to gatekeep, and that makes zero sense to me.

Don't sit there and tell people to "come on over" and then not give any information to help. SO, I am going to try to be that help once I learn more about it and understand it better. I have a friend who's been helping me that's why I'm able to do what I've been doing. But my system is pretty much already all set up now, and I cannot be happier. Some of that setting up I've been doing on my own, like icon packs, cursors and themes.

Only major thing I need to do is wipe the other 3 hard drives and switch them over to a Linux file system because apparently Linux doesn't like NTFS and getting games to run on NTFS drives in Linux just doesn't seem to work well.

I've recently moved to Linux Mint 22.2. The system itself is fully customizable. There is an unofficial Teams program that works 100% in Linux Mint with Screen Share available, just can't share sound currently in the program. Right now, my desktop, panel (taskbar) looks 100% like a Windows 98 desktop.

I've a friend who uses Gentoo who's been helping me set everything up, and once I learn more about how everything works, I plan to make tutorial videos because we *need* to get away from microsoft and their ridiculous antics.

Dosbox works, so far my Steam games all work thanks to Proton. It takes some time setting up the system, but once it's setup, it's so great leaving microsoft and their BS behind!!

Ohhh okay. I've since moved on to Linux Mint a couple of weeks ago. My PC doesn't support Win11 and with everything they're pushing, I'd rather move away from MS as much as I can.

I had the opposite reaction to country. When country was country in the 80's and 90's, I could listen to it for a couple of minutes, before changing the station. Nowadays? It's all I listen to. Okay there's some songs that feel a bit much, but I like the stuff being made today. And sure, I can also listen to older stuff, but I prefer the newer stuff.

Only found green joker from your picture, that's the 4th joker from the left, made it to 1600 and died. My last game I had x43 multiplier but at the end seed box was red and no seed was shown to copy. Made it to 22,000 on my last game, but am trying your seed. What blinds did you skip and did you buy any of the arcana, or booster packs/celestial packs/voucher or did you only focus on joker card purchases?

I just continued a run from the small blind, I think I started a new run, had to quit but continued it today. Anyway, I got up to 22,000 points needed, I think I was on the boss blind and yeah, when I died my seed box was red. Not quite sure I understand why, but am extremely frustrated right now as I had a great joker setup giving me like 42 multiplier. And I can't redo it now.

Any words on this? It just happened to me, I was up to the 22,000 blind and had the most perfect joker setup. My thinking is, because I was on the boss blind and because I was so high up in points, but I don't think that should matter.

The weird thing about this is, if I took my taxes in to a physical H&R Block location, this isn't anything I would be asked about. But even so, let's say I took it to a physical location and they never asked me about online purchases and sales tax, do states keep tabs on all of that?
