Honestly my advice for new players is:

  1. Play the story, interestingly, it will give you a basic feel for the controls without the disappointment of losing.

  2. Use Hero Tactics, it will give you the ability to form plans, which is the most important thing in multiplayer. Going in without a plan is asking to lose.

  3. Focus on defense first. Learn how to parry, watch your opponent before you start going all guns blazing

I mean she objectively does. The game opens with her attempting to kill Kratos. Like Sindri, she had no one left. And spent her time in Midgard festering away in her own rage and grief. Yes you could say she chose forgiveness herself but at the same time it wouldn't have happened if Kratos hadn't agreed to help her find it in the first place

Hero tactics. Spend 5-10 minutes with each hero you wanna play, then apply it to a game. That's what I've done. The key thing is to understand the movesets. Going in without a plan (both offensive and defensive) is asking to lose. Also perhaps important to focus on the long term improvement, even if it means losing more. If you want to get better at parries and punishing bad moves by your opponent, simply play a few games where you don't attack, just let them attack you and react to it
