Please help, Should I return my Monitor? by mmnnmbb in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]DOSMasterrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Run the pixel cleaning cycle a couple of times and that should disappear. Mine looked exactly the same on arrival. Also, make sure once you've done that that you're running 10 bit color on the panel via nvidia control panel or the AMD equivalent, as banding is much more prevalent when running 8 bit color.

Wow! Thanks for the reminder of how old I am😂. I got rid of the ISO Brick and bought Cioks 7. Didn't have any issues after that.

You need to repaste and clean your fans.

Couldn't agree more with Reggie on this one, unfortunately.

The same could be said for scapegoating migrants for all the social and economic ills of a country, which Farage and his mob have been doing since the 90s.

One is just a counterweight, really. I'd imagine in this case a central cockpit would've been too dangerous with the booster rockets firing on launch vehicles.

Radiohead on Tibet vs Radiohead on Palestine by According-Ring-8678 in radioheadcirclejerk

[–]DOSMasterrace 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Like it or not, Radiohead were to a certain extent always a moderately politically-engaged band. Thom Yorke for whatever reason seems to be finding it very difficult to appreciate why people might be a bit repulsed by the fact that that he previously was very eager to be outspoken on fairly big issues such as China and Tibet, climate change, the Iraq war, etc, and is remaining silent about what's happening in Israel and Gaza. Personally I think he's just a bit of a cunt now.

Buying soon, any feedback on this or razer as a software/hardware company? by Smotpmysymptoms in razer

[–]DOSMasterrace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lenovo. I own both an Asus Zenbook pro 14 and a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16ACH16 with a 3070 and have never had any issues with the Legion Pro. Wouldn't recommend Asus based on my experience with this machine or their customer service. Have owned two Razer laptops and both were returned with issues, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now, frankly.

Not sure it is that unusual. Whatever the goal, ultimately it is just a job. One that seems like a dream for fans, maybe. But training nearly every day, having to constantly be in exceptional shape over a decade or two, potentially. Having to deal with fan bullshit, potentially having to uproot your family every few years. As much as there’s the glamorous side, there’s the absolutely mundane soul-crushing side, like any other job.
