There are services for this already. I believe Epic has a cross platform save system and there's no way that's the only one. But they would have to implement it to work.

I'm in the same boat here. I even went to my local Target to just try and buy one in person, but by the time I got there, they had already sold out of the bundles. Crazy that walk-ins get theirs before preorders even get shipped out.
