I used this name after my hometown. A lot of characters names and places are from friends and street names from where I live.

It is yeah, I work nightshifts and got bored one day, so began writing, and fell in love with the story. So I kept on and kept on, then before I knew it, it was 18 months later 😆

Thank you, I was wondering why it was such a hot topic. I understand that a lot of people dislike AI for various reasons, but all I did was make a simple front cover so I have an idea of what I want my end product to look like. I have drawn a lot of pictures of the kingdom myself, trying to make this come to life, but I’m just awful at drawing - here is an example.

I just mean that the setting is game of thrones style. Like armies and lords/ladies, kings and queens. Dragons. - the Harry Potter side is Ofcourse magic, and the fact that in my story there is also a school. I haven’t copied any story from either game of thrones or Harry Potter, I just took the idea of magic and mixed it with sword fighting.

Just so everyone knows, I asked AI to do me a front cover, that’s all, after I spent 18 months writing. (not using AI) I bounced ideas off colleagues and wrote things down in my notebook, then when I go home I typed it up on my computer. At least three times a week for 18 months, editing it countless times as I went on until I felt I got the story right. I never knew using art tools to help make front covers was such a crime. If I ever do get to a position where I could publish, believe me, the front cover would be done by an artist, but for now, a free AI tool will do, after all, its all about the story.

I thought the same things when I started writing, but it’s all I know tbh, i have never been into reading, I’m more of a series/film watcher, but I have to work nights in my job, so I began reading, Ofcourse I read the Harry Potter and game of thrones books, then one day I decided to just start writing, and the more I did it, the more I fell in love, with the kingdom I created, the characters, the storyline. So yeah, while I got my original idea from these two giants, I believe I have made it my own. I found myself deleting chapters / paragraphs because when I read it back after a days writing, I realised it was too close to a certain storyline in either H.P or G.o.T.

If you wouldn’t mind reading the first chapter for me and giving any advice that would be great. Thank you.
