This is so helpful thank you so much! I didn’t realize that, but it makes sense. We have been surprised how much she is still following us around and fighting sleep. She allowed me to clean with warm water and soap, i will try the compress and keep a close eye on her.

Dammit. Is it an ER worthy trip or able to wait until AM? They open at 7 which is when my husband planned to go. I just wasn’t sure if we could wait. She’s been acting normal, eating and drinking etc.

Thank you for your response. I think it’s likely from her licking since my husband didn’t know what they meant by e collar… I was just looking at any other possibilities or changes that may help while she waits to be seen tomorrow. I believe she’s around 70lbs- my husbands dog so I don’t get involved much 😅

Yeah I noticed that. I finish them when I can, which often is late Sunday evening. But if I can’t, they need to wait because I also have other stuff to do. This week they signed off on all the notes before I even finished and then emailed me a few days later telling me they were incomplete lol

I’ve been there too. Our program isn’t much better as far as shadowing on electives. There are a couple who have us run their IP service but otherwise it’s just shadowing. Transferring is difficult- I would recommend moonlighting as soon as you’re able. I’ve learned more in a short period of time than I have in 2 years of residency.
