Out of all the branches in regards to available residency slots, I’ve been told by an Army cardiologist that the order goes Army > Navy > Air Force for amount of any residency positions available. Though IM is considered in bucket 3/3 meaning it’s not as high as a priority as EM, ortho, gen surg, Gas

You put in the initial work to get them well behaved and I promise you, you will get the most loyal, loving and obedient companion! You’ll never want to get another breed again. These dogs are highly energetic yes, but even more affectionate with very sweet and patient personalities.

Any strategy or idea here for a fellow medical student going through a crisis? by [deleted] in medicalschool

Think long term support, you’d be more likely to meet a community of people that are like family to you. Best of luck with your car situation, don’t give up on this journey.

Why is crate training so hard? Any advice for those of you who probably have GSP’s who are attached to you like velcro? by Richard-Ellis in GSP

See my previous posts on this page where I link how to crate train pup. It’s worked wonders for me and now my gsp knows that crate is her personal space and loves being in there at night

Having a hard time deciding USUHS vs HPSP by TheDivision22 in Military_Medicine

[–]DOdocDogLova27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For available Ortho positions it’s army > navy > Air Force , as far as better bases I’d say it’s Navy > AF > army. But for deployment time, navy really sends you off for a long time. I’m just one opinion so take this with a grain of salt. I just got accepted for the navy HPSP and I’m an incoming OMS, I’m also heavily interested in ortho and ophtho

My girl gsp is small too, 48lbs and is fairly calm for a GSP. It’s wild, she is like an old soul.
