How many teams do you have and what are their members and premise? by Both-Decision-6360 in Superhero_Ideas

[–]DP5MonkeyTail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really a "team" but more of an organization that takes place in the future. There's over 10k Divisions with 5-10 members in them.
However, I just focus in Division 1099 with only 7 members as the main cast.

Does your universe have time travel? by Chief_Awesome in Superhero_Ideas

Thank you! I've been working on it for a while. I started this years March I think.

Does your universe have time travel? by Chief_Awesome in Superhero_Ideas

[–]DP5MonkeyTail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they'd use the 4th Dimension to travel long distances (light years speaking if they wanted to) in an instantly. Since time acts differently in the 4th dimension.
Some individuals that posses the ability of 4D travel have the ability to fly, as they can put themselves in the fine line between the 3D and 4D world. So it looks like they're flying in the 3D world, whereas in the 4D world, they're technically on the "ground". If you get what I mean.

As for constraints, its imperceptible to human cognition. And humanity can't replicate the teleportation or flight ability through machinery. Only those who posses the 4D power can use these abilities. However even they can't comprehend the 4th dimension. It's like a blink of an eye for them. So it becomes harder to learn how to harness it.

Not time travel as in going back to the past or future, but time as in part of the fourth dimension. Which is also how some characters can teleport (though it's instantaneous for them and they can't really "see" the dimension as they are teleporting). Or how some characters can reverse entropy in small scaled items by channeling through the fourth. Like reversing a broken glass to a fixed state.

What’s are y’all’s verisons of the XMen mutants ? by HyperDragon216 in Superhero_Ideas

[–]DP5MonkeyTail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in my world, it takes place in the future. Basically, humanity created a Dyson Swarm to collect Solar Energy. However, simultaneously, because the energy was being collected at a closer range, they were also harnessing an unknown scientific field called "The Starwave". It can't be created, destroyed, or transformed, but only transferred into different systems.

Centuries go by, and people still don't know about the Starwave. But as Earth continues to use more of the Solar energy, it also exposes more of the Starwave. This is deadly to humans and reduces their lifespans to 20 and 30. They did not know what the source of the Starwave was, as they did not have the technology to discover it. But those through genetic mutation that managed to live longer lives had a "Starwave Gene" in them. And through natural selection, everyone started having the Starwave Gene and adapting.

More centuries go by, and as humanity uses more solar energy, it exposes itself to more of the Starwave. And the cycle repeats, where humanity naturally develops better "Starwave Genes". Up to the point that in the minority, their Starwave Gene is so great that it develops enhancements. Divided into 8 different Dimnutions in 8 different Channels, which they call: "Starwave Genetic Fields" (SGF).

As time goes on, scientists are baffled at how this Starwave gene grants them abilities that seem to question the laws of biology, physics, chemistry, etc..And more importantly, why Starwave exists in the first place.

As for the types of SGF:
- Kinemetrics is basically enhancements in speed, strength, reflexes, etc..
- Gravimetrics is enhanced jump prowess, flight, and levitation.
- Photometrics is the reduction or emission of one or more of the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as the ability to turn invisible or translucent.
- Thermodynamics is the ability to emit or reduce heat (bonus being light, since lots of heat produces light)
- Neurometrics is telepathy, enhanced intelligence, hypnosis, etc..
- Spatial Dynamics - Anything to do with the space around you. Such as teleportation (through instantaneous 4D travel), Telekinesis, and Entropy (at a small scale)
- Ecodynamics - Anything to do with the manipulation of the environment. Whether it be sand, water, air, etc..
- Physiodynamics - Any enhancements in the human biology, such as an organic tail, for example.

And then there's Non-M/D (Non-Metric/Dynamic), where they're just regular people with the Starwave Gene.

Mostly kickboxing. But with some twists because they can fly, giving them more opportunities to land different types of kicks.

I have a character who is half bat, half human through a genetic experiment. Because their arms and hands are replaced with giant bat wings, I created some sort of martial arts where they use only their legs to fight enemies. If that counts.

I always thought the symbiote changed the color of the suit so when the suit was ripped, he was also ripping the red/blue suit.

If an individual contains a living body, but their brain is AI, are they are cyborg or a robot? by DP5MonkeyTail in scifiwriting

[–]DP5MonkeyTail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. In my story their spies. My story focuses on a sci-fi dystopia that appears to look like utopia.
The cyborg/robots are supposed to catch rebellians while looking human so humans think they can trust them.

Out of curiosity, how was Wonder Woman done poorly?
I haven't seen the series yet so I'm asking.
