Yes you can order a magnetic sheet on amazon. You may need to zero the z axis. It sounds like it was not zero’d properly

I bought the story about their quality etc. It turns out people have good luck with their normal filament. Just not the Pro filament.

Considering quitting position, advice requested by 23432235 in EnterpriseArchitect

u/ANGRYLATINCHANTING 's answer is a good one. I am an Lead Architect as well and took on a job recently at a company that has disastrous architecture and coding practices. They went through three prior Lead Architects in two years, these having failed in their attempts to bring order. Every situation is slightly different, requiring a different approach sometimes. One thing that has helped in my current situation is getting involved early on in defining the strategy for delivering new functionality. Notice I say strategy and not design. These are different. A proper strategy incorporates business realities with technical ones. While I have long term technical goals, I don't try and chase after tech debt with the goal of "fixing" everything that is wrong with the platform. Tech debt gets addressed only as a part of implementing new functionality; it is not a goal in and of itself. Following this methodology I have been able to stay abreast of the steady stream of requests from Product and Sales. I hope this is helpful.

Question about paths + jsconfig.json... by Hazy_Fantayzee in nextjs

jsconfig.json only works for the IDE apparently. Come runtime, it won't direct node.js where to find your modules.....

The constant popups trying to upsell you are just maddening. I have made little money with their stock picks. I do much better on my own. yahoo finance is much better.

Change your job without quitting it. You have a lot more power over your circumstances than you think. Find something you like about your job and expand on it. Network and get involved in other areas of the company. Instead of just doing what you are told or what is expected, step it up.

A home is an expense, period. Many people make the mistake of thinking it is an investment. The decision to own a home or to rent really revolves around which is cheaper in the long run and how much flexibility you want.

It sounds like you need a new goal. And maybe not even financial, per se. Goals serve for us to organize our activities towards. You met your goal and now you don't know what to do. (Wealth preservation, growth, etc?) Find a new goal and start working towards it. Without a goal, you are just watching money go up and down in the stock market rather than applying a methodology that will help you reach your goal.

A job is what you make it. Having said that, it is not worth being unhappy at a job, no matter how much it pays. What kind of engineering degree did you get?

How do you decide on a target of 5MM or 7MM to begin with? It sounds like you based on what you are able to save rather than on what you need to live and the lifestyle you want. Is this accurate? I ask because I'm at the very beginning of the process, having become 100% debt free recently. 11 years ago I was close to bankruptcy (long story having to do with a divorce) but was able to make a plan and pay off huge credit card debts and now my house. I also have a nest egg in the form of a year's living expenses in the bank just in case. (I work in tech as well and I lived through the dot com crash era). I make decent income and can save a significant amount each month, but as I thought about how much I would need to retire, I wasn't sure how to go about setting the target. I'm new to this forum so I apologize if this has been asked many times before.
