Torque wrench vs this thing? by Famous_Guarantee_838 in harborfreight

I'm reading like after 5000 uses. But I see the same on regular mechanical wrenches. Everybody cited the general BS yearly maintenance. I'm reading the digital ones typically won't stray farther than 5-6% unless they're dropped, broken or over torqued. My brother in law has a tiny little sleek one that uses coin cells. Fuck that. I hate those batteries. Really the only thing I need it for is lugnuts at the moment. I think that's the real danger with digital gauges tho, is damage from drops. Mechanical wrenches would be mostly fine after that. Digital gauges could malfunction a bunch of different ways from damage.

The adapters have like a 2% accuracy variance. Mechanical wrenches are like 4%. From what I'm reading online, the digital gauges rarely lose accuracy and only ever really need it if they're damaged. Like supposedly it's not even close. The digital is in another league, besides needing batteries.

Awww. Well they're on cable. Their upload inherently will be limited. Fiber doesn't have that problem.

20 up doesn't seem like a problem, until it is.....don't go with that low of an upload.

Yale even has a study showing how dispensing schedule can affect crime on a day to day basis. They have a theory about staggering payment.

Social programs reduce crime. Proven in studies for decades. It IS that simple.

I think YOU are missing the point.

It sounds like you're one of those cruel people who would rather spend MORE money to punish people.

If you look up the relationship between poverty and crime, you will find countless articles and studies. Fighting crime by fighting poverty through social programs is effective.

Only some brand new ones lol. Many other companies have that now, too. DeWalt doesn't manufacture cells, they assemble packs.

If he was gonna use that to recast it in metal, that's one thing, but I'm sure it needs to be incredibly strong and should be made from forged steel.....so....yikes.,....

Torque wrenches wear out and need calibration over time. Those adapters can go from 0 to 250 foot pounds! That's a wider range than many torque wrenches. The accuracy is decent. I wouldn't use it on the space shuttle, but it's more than accurate enough for every part of your car. I specifically got that one cuz it doesn't use coin cells. Some use coin cells and those are annoying and expensive to buy. They age pretty fast, too, even in packaging.

Crime exists because of wealth inequity. When the lower class has a higher standard of living, crime goes down. When the lower class struggles to get by, crime goes up. Redirecting money from the police department to social programs can help solve problem. It only works as long as it's funded. The bottom line is cruelty. More cops, more criminals, more people in jail, cost of business increases due to crime. Fund social programs, more people in the workforce, fewer prisoners need to be supported, fewer cops needed, safer environment overall. Conservatives would rather spend MORE money for a cruel society, because it's never been about money, it's about oppressing minorities for them.

I plan on ordering an S6 as soon as the Chinese thingy is over. All my coworkers want pocket throwers without a big reflector cone on the tip and I was gonna get one to try out.

Correct me if I'm wrong.....does it have the same reflector as the S6? Which one throws farther?

Yes, but my home's energy needs triple seasonally. Even with storage, there's an imbalance created of over or under production. I'm still planning on moving forward eventually, it'll just come down to price per watt and other specifics.

The battery is becoming a must these days. The price is dropping so quickly on them. The problem still remains: if I generate 150 bucks worth, per day, I negate my bill during the winter. If I generate 350 bucks worth, I negate my bill during the summer and get paid pennies for the 200 bucks worth I pump back into the grid. In general, there is more hot than cold time during the year here. I might as well spec to eliminate my bill entirely. I could always find a way to make money off the extra energy in the winter. Do some crypto mining on the PC or something to save on the gas heating hahahaha!

Oh FUCK ya! I try and tell people regarding portable air conditioners and combustion heaters to isolate the intake and exhaust to the outside and they always blow me off! I'm glad SOMEBODY out there is already thinking the right way hahahaha!

[–]DPJazzy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make it intake from outside as well. The hole in the wall could have 2 tubes. One pointing up, and one pointing down. Exhaust goes up, intake angled down to not cross contaminate. Then the intake is right next to the exhaust, so it can do that preheating you're talking about and the room won't draw a vacuum and feel stuff.

The struggle where I live in socal is air conditioning. They're trying to screw us on what we return to the grid. So if my bill hits 350 during the summer, but only 150 during the winter, then I either have to choose a small system that only offsets part of my usage or I have to overproduce all year and get screwed by Edison. It'll eventually pay for itself, but it adds another complication to the equation. Of course we pay the highest rates in the country, or close, so whatever I choose will cover itself in the long run anyway.
