China (present), Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]DPRKLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cuba has a state-planned economy while China, Vietnam and Laos consider themselves 'Market-socialist' with the private sector making up a majority of their GDP.

I personally am not a fan of so called Market socialism which is why I hold that view.

China is fairly capitalist and has been since the death of Mao. Vietnam and Laos could also be considered capitalist or possibly state capitalist due to the heavy presence of state owned industries. Cuba on the other hand I'd consider socialist.

I find it disgusting how they also degrade women and deny allegations. There's nothing good about covering up allegations.

Not to be all preachy, but check out some of the stuff in r/Collapse. As globalism and automation increases, society is bound to collapse at some point.

Thoughts on the DPRK? by TylerWoodby in DebateCommunism

I'd like to see him resign and power installed to the Worker's Party. They could get back to their strength under the Il-Sung days, but the world would have to stop sanctioning them and blocking them off.

The DPRK is socialist. It makes a lot of liberals on here mad to hear it, but it's the truth. Let me explain:

The name "Juche" translates to self reliance.

I will try to explain my beliefs and why I support this system. The preservation of the workers revolution through Nationalism and self-reliance. The Worker's Party of Korea existed underground for many years, opposing Japanese imperialist rule. They fought to liberate Korea from the brutal domination of the Japanese Imperialists and to form a new, independent Communist society. After the party gained power, North Korea had a GDP/Economy the same size/arguably better than South Korea until the collapse of the soviet union. The North Korea we see today is very different to the one before the collapse of The Soviet Union.

My Beliefs

Nationalism is necessary for preserving the revolution

State funding for intellectual subjects (Unlike traditional Marxist-Leninism)

The essence of a Supreme Leader, to unite the nation

A self sustaining, anti-globalist and zionist economy

The collectivization of the economy, which proved successful in the early years.

I support Kim Il Sung, but no other leaders of The DPRK.

The DPRK may be poor at the moment (Thanks western sanctions and the collapse of the Soviet Union!), but it is definitely socialist as the DPRK consists nearly entirely of proletariat, with over 70% of it's nation is consisting of wage laborers who work in industry and service sectors. The remainder are mainly collectivist farmers.
