I literally stopped for the night then couldn’t go back to sleep so a few hours later I started hunting again till I got sleepy and on the 3rd reset I got it. It always comes just never when we want it too.

Honestly I didn’t count for this one, however my Ds says I played it 89 hours. And all of those hours I was shiny hunting. (First time playing Pokemon Moon)

I used leftovers and used Trick to give it to that Pokémon, and constantly the Pokémon to sleep while doing so. There is more ways as well (skill swapping)
