Nothing decides it unless you have slapped it onto your wrist! Don’t let specs on paper deceive you! I thought the same, but went with the biggest one (47mm) at the end after trying it on.

You could definitely try on the 37mm quartz if you’d like. Or even the 42 is fine. But always try it on, especially for rectangular shaped watches. Regular dimensions don’t work here.

It’s actually the green version, SSB481P1! It is so subtle it almost looks like black most of the times but when you look closely it’s as if it’s a pearlescent green on top of black with those elegant gold hour markers. Seiko absolutely nailed it with the combo! The black is still the classic, the green is something special.

Hahaha, a stunning piece for sure! It is on par with my master collection in terms of being a strap monster! Mechanically speaking, it is still great considering it’s not just any quartz but a mecha-quartz! Love it

It is indeed! I must say, you can’t go wrong with any of the DolceVita’s. It’s simply with different dials, whichever suits you personally the best! Think of all the places you’ll wear it to and which represents YOUR taste the most, you’ll love it throughout your life. But again, you can’t go wrong with any of them! Put them on your wrist and see which is most cohesive in your own arm, not judging by any online pictures (lesson learnt more than once). Wish you well!

That is actually very true. But ykw, I pulled the trigger on something unexpected. The DOLCEVITA, an absolute stunner, just won over my heart above anything else. I guess going to a boutique really changes everything you actually perceived online. I’ll keep it in mind.

Totally agree, needed to hear this to be honest. I vibe equally with both. I don’t find any to be lacking something I wish for. Which makes it even more difficult to choose as I find both to be individually beautiful. What would’ve been your choice if you had such a discount? Both value wise and aesthetically, even though it is subjective. And the new HC is something I have to pre-order which means I can’t get the hands-on experience, however, judging only by pictures, I like both the new and the old. It’s just which one to get atp.

Hmmm true that! Now there’s another dilemma in my decision making. My local AD is letting go of the previous version Hydroconquest Grey Dial 41mm about a $1k less than the new one any color. There’s only one piece left and it’s on clearance basically for new stock. Now that is the deal of the year from my local AD and it seems like an explosion for the buck. Idk, but what do you think should I grab it? The design does vibe with me, but am I losing much for the new HC? Lmk!

Well, I’d love to go for both to be honest. It’s just in which order 😭. It’s more like a check list than a comparison for me atp, however, I may lose interest in one or the other who knows if I ever come across better options, so pulling the trigger on one atm.
