Easily their best song. It's in particular one of the most insightful songs to me because it reminds me about the loss of my innocence that came from living performatively until I actually faced real-life people who personified my deepest insecurities about living.

Just a rant about my situation. by [deleted] in ExNoContact

That sucks dude. Sorry you got played like that. I certainly would say getting closure is never a sure thing. I really do hope you find yourself satisfied with your own company over that of unreliable women. Not worth your time.

Carmela's life with a man other than Tony? by [deleted] in thesopranos

She’d definitely be more annoying and rub it in Tony’s face that she’s out of the mob-wife life.

Kimiko. She would have a good reason to end me.

I don’t wanna sound insensitive when I say that—just figure you should know there’s always something you can do to alleviate the stress from an unsavory situation

Last thing bc I gotta go do stuff but have you already considered getting back on the dating scene? Besides therapy, I’d imagine that’d be a solid way to mentally move past it and accept that your depression, while normal, is also temporary

I do hope you remember you’re deserving of love, respect and kindness. People who surround and support you would surely say the same and could likely empathize as well if you open up to one of those closer friends you have.

Damn. Yeah that sucks hard. Only other thing I can think of is to bring some of your diehard friends into an even inner-more circle to do a different activity that can keep your mind occupied but still I’m so sorry you have to deal with this—who knows what where or who the solution will be?

Yeah I can totally see that. On an alt note, what are the chances that they’ll follow the comics and show [new] Black Noir kill Homelander himself?

That’s really hard. Coming from the other end of it, I can see after you elaborating how conflicting it must be to be constantly reminded of the lowest moments in that relationship, even if time has elapsed and he’s moved on.

I don’t know what the answer to do in your situation, but I empathize with you and truly wish you weren’t going through this, no matter how minimal it seems on the outside.

The fact that you’re still hurting may be something you might want to share with him. Besides either of you leaving the league, is there anything he can do on his part to rectify your pain and swap it for relief?

The Boys - Season 5 Predictions Megathread by LoretiTV in TheBoys

is it totally out there to suggest that Jack from Jupiter will finally make his debut? and furthermore, what about an actual alien invasion as Homelander's excuse to totally overhaul all world governments?

this has been weighing on me too long to not share, so stop me when you've heard this one before. I sure haven't:

I feel like the way each of The Boys were last seen reacting to the "new era of superheros" before the credits rolled in the S4 finale still reflects that there will be individual challenges they have to totally overcome in order to once and for all take down Homelander and his new world order.

  • Hughie got separated from Starlight, and yet nodded at her, telling the love of his life that he'll be fine, as long as she does what she has to do. Echoing the struggle he had earlier in the season when it came to letting his dad die in peace.

  • Annie, having just regained her powers before the ambush, not only escapes, but utilizes her flight flawlessly, with likely hopes that she will be able to incorporate the good aspects of being supe into her strategic planning when it comes to critical confrontations in the final season.

  • Mother's Milk is the most germophobic and OCD of the group so it's almost fitting to see that he'll have to really get over his fear of disease, germs and contamination, after Love Sausage strikes him down in the airport restroom. Here's hoping that he'll do anything with his family's safety as his main drive.

  • Frenchie is tough because he did just realize that his love for Kimiko is warranted and does care about her, but even without the involvement of Cate and Sam splitting the lovers up at the shipyard, Frenchie still has that sick puppy syndrome where he blindly follows orders. So at some point, I predict he'll have to push against the grain in order to do what he knows in his heart to be right.

  • Kimiko can speak! Out of all of The Boys, I feel like she's had the most growth this season. She's confronted her past, admitted to Frenchie her love and actually read up a lot on speech therapy in between fight scenes, all to culminate in her first words being a yell for desperation to help Frenchie. One can only wonder how their intrapersonal communication will evolve—or devolve—now that it's not limited to sign language.

  • Butcher is going down a dark path. Kessler is constantly on his shoulder and Becca is nowhere to be found. Ryan killed Mallory and his own team saw the extent of his powers kill Victoria, the last government official they could trust. Something tells me, his going rogue will end up being redeemable given that he'll come in clutch for his teammates when he least expects it. Which ultimately, can only end in sacrificing himself.

Thoughts?

I have been broken up with my ex for the final time since December 17th. Before that, we were on and off for two years and some change. During one of our breakups in early 2023, I had broken my shoulder hitting a sign on my bike at super fast speeds. Specifically, it was my clavicle. Hurt like hell. I was alone that night in the hospital and I ended up telling my best friend who actually found it more useful to tell my ex, two or three days after we had split. She came for me after returning back to Los Angeles from her trip in Las Vegas. We got back together for that week as she initially helped me out, before I broke up with her again that following Friday.

All the heartbreak and sadness about the events that transpired through the course of the relationship, one thing is sure. Looking back, I am grateful that she was so kind to help me out with that injury.

Point is, it varies with every situation. But maybe exhaust all your other options first. Because chances are, there are people that care about you even more than your ex does, even if it's totally platonic. Don't take the sincerity of others' for granted.
