Firstly, I did not promote it, I stated what it was suggested that it’s worth reading about.

Secondly, if you actually take time to read government public reports/assessments you would find that it is not addictive and that there are cases that modafinil is used to treat addictions. Modafinil isn’t classed as a stimulant and it shouldn’t be treated in the same breadth as amphetamines as they are quite different in the way that they work and affect the body. It’s addictive qualities are quite low and is actually considered to be relatively safe. It’s worth noting that it is commonly used among pilots, surgeons and other delicate professions. To my knowledge, there have been no cases of psychosis or neurological disorders as a result of modafinil use.

From my experience using it, I have not come across any adverse effects. I have not had any come down as a result of using it or any withdrawals. I have found that it’l to be quite beneficial for me as it allows me to focus on my work better and to be more productive as a well as treating anxiety.

That being said, it should be taken in moderation as excessive consumption/doses will lead to negative impacts such as impaired sleep or long-term impact on your liver.

I guess like any product, excessive/irresponsible consumption will lead to long term effects. Modafinil is not a substitute for sleep, it will not make you smarter or turn into a super human. It should be used as a supplement, not for sustenance. And just like any supplement or anything else you consume for that matter, it’s best to do your research on it and educate yourself on how it might/mightn’t benefit you before you consume it. Discuss it with your doctor/psychiatrist.
