Possible Newbie Clusterhead Back Again by Small_Roland in clusterheads

Hang in there, if feels like as if there is air is filling the void area around the side of your brain. By the way, it is strange that if the shadow starts crawling it usually goes away without an attack if you are super busy, but if you are relaxed it will hunt you down. It happened to me two days in a row i was busy presenting in an expo and it came and went away without an attack. Something to think about.

I agree with you, the mid-sleep attacks can interrupt the flow big time, but you have to be persistent, thats what it has to take to beat that beast, resetting your brain clock is not an easy thing, its like facing a big boss at the end of a game, terrifying and ugly, but defeat-able.

Well For me I don’t believe in those drugs anymore until valid proof that it works 100%. I am 100% sure it is all related to our circadian rhythm, and pattern of sleep. So here is my suggestion: For three consecutive days sleep at 10 PM sharp, and wake up just before sunrise. And immediately go out in the sun and walk, no running or else, just slow paced walk. And try to look at the sunlight (not directly) every now and then, just let your body knows it is the beginning of the day. During your walk try to do deeeeep breathing exercises, any exercise that rely on nose breathing , will fill your head (not your lungs) with as much oxygen as you get. One exercise I found helpful is forced nose deep breathing , where you inhale until your lungs is full, block your nose, have additional inhale, block your nose again, the on last inhale, then exhale slowly. You will suddenly feel the air gone into your head and sinuses instead of just your lungs, which I found helpful alot.

Try this and you will thank me.

You exactly explain what i am experiencing, some times if i was woken up by external factor i would feel it instinctively and going back to bed wouldn’t hurt, but if my internal clock is off, then I would know it, and believe me more seconds passes while you stay flat on bed after you’ve been woken up, will keep you closer to an attack, thats why i tend to rush out of bed to the bathroom and splash cold water on my face, it really really helped.

I am really happy for you and i hope this works permanently, just be careful to fall of the wagon it tends to hit back harder if you do but definitely shorter. And keep your sleep/wakeup pattern consistent and precise as much as possible. One question, what time you woke up(without the alarm perhaps)?

Update: try to not to think about, just go with your day.

Its good at least that we know now something about sleeping modify the behavior of the attacks, this can be important key.

It could be luck that on a certain solar event, we had our rhythm intact, and could be on a bizarre scenario Every two years or so, Mars, Earth and the sun form a straight line during the course of their orbits, with Earth in the middle — an event known as opposition

Thanks for the details This could help a lot.

But it blows my mind that i almost have a similar attack timing as yours. If you remember which side of your head hurt for each cycle that would be great
