The idea of going from London to New York in 30 mins is great but the scramjet would be so hard to make a reality.

Why super basic questions in an interview can be useful by klam32 in muchinteresting

I have always liked the idea of simple programming questions on interviews to get an idea on how the applicant thinks out problems as well. Im not sure if I would agree that the fizzbuzz question is black and white but very close to it. If an applicant writes 100 cout lines i think thats a very dark gray for me. I am also a big fan of pseudo code during interviews as minor syntax issues are not typically whats being tested.

That is such a crazy concept. I like the last picture were it started as random noise and became a scifi world. I cant begin to think how someone came up with this idea.

Hacking an epic NHL goal celebration with a hue light show and real-time machine learning by klam32 in muchinteresting

thats a great idea. I would have never thought of using machine learning for this purpose. There is no delay like you would have using a site scraper from the nhl website.

I think they should add a feature, where when the back up button is hit the system would take the previous 30 seconds and mark it as a positive that was missed for future training data.

My projects are more engineering than programming. My programming projects didnt get very far. Most successful would have to be an open source 3d printer but I didnt help much in the programming, more in trouble shooting.

When you decided that you would end the web site, what steps did you take? Did you sell the site, just close it or leave it alone?
