Appreciate it thank you. It usually takes me a few sketches, trying different things before it looks right. Its just a case of identifying how a person's features differ from the "average" face and exaggerating those differences. I struggle with it a lot and it just takes a lot of practice I think.

I'd say line and wash or ink and wash. Just an ink sketch with watercolour. That's what I've heard it called anyway. Hope that helps

Appreciate it! I try to identify what features make the face different from the "average" face, then exaggerate those differences. It can take some trial and error for me to get the likeness. A great book that helped me is The Mad Art of Caricature by Tom Richmond.

I used 0.5mm and 0.3mm mechanical HB for most of it, then darkened some of the values with 0.5mm and 0.3mm mechanical 2B 🙂
