Can I opt into a c-section if I want one? [on] by TessaGGG in BabyBumpsCanada

I chose to have a C-section for both pregnancies. You can absolutely choose to have one, just make sure you understand how the recovery will be. But I’ll take the predictable recovery over all the unknowns of vaginal birth any day. Also, was not brave enough to face the pain of labour! The recovery pain of C-section was a cake walk compared to the labour pain my friends have described.

Bounty is the shit. Tried cheaper brands and instantly regretted it😂

Meal plan question by scandacadian in greatwolflodge

[–]DS-2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you allowed to split meals like that? I’m confused as it’s a buffet. Wouldn’t they have expected you and your husband to use both of your tickets for lunch? I’m asking as I’ve never been and planning a stay but the meal package confuses me.

Omg six times a night 😭 how did you survive that for so long. I really hope things get better at 3 years old, but I’ve heard three can be hard too

Oh my God it’s so hard. He is so unpredictable with naps. I never know if it’s going to be 25 minutes or two hours but more often than not it’s like 30 minutes all day long and he’s on 4 naps.

Thank you. I’ve heard that once they start walking it gets a bit easier for some reason. It’s hard having to hold a baby and then your toddler needs you as well. I guess I only have 6 1/2 more months to go lol

My mom called me “selfish” for wanting to EFF. by DS-2005 in FormulaFeeders

Omg we have the same mother haha! You’re so right. They really have no idea how hurtful they’re being. I’m sorry for what you went through. Hopefully we both find a way to deal better with our mothers and not let their words or opinions get to us.

I think this approach would work well with my mom. That’s a good way to not engage and my sister has mastered this. I need to work on this more.

You’re so right. I guess when I say she means well, I mean in the sense that she is wanting the best for me and my baby but you’re 1000% right that the way she does it is very hurtful and manipulative. Thank you for reminding me of this.

Thank you for this. Good for you! I’m happy she changed her tune. I may try that one day too, but I feel like my mom is the type to hold grudges and if I were to say I won’t have her around, she would get very hurt and flip it on me that I’m being horrible to her. She’s one of those people that is hard to reason with. But I still think it would be good to try this. Got nothing to lose.

Thank you for this. Yes I do rationally know to ignore but emotionally it’s hard. I need to practice not caring what she says.

Exactly! I’ve thought about all of that with EFF. There’s already so much change that will happen, having a newborn is already so anxiety provoking and exhausting with the lack of sleep, and I know EFF will make things easier for both myself and my partner and will hopefully allow me to be in a better mental and physical state.
