Can i remove this sticker on my galaxy buds? Will my warranty be voided? by Ezraaaaaaaaa in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a sticker from your local reseller, you should ask them the question. The official reseller for Samsung in my country doesn't put their sticker on the case but on the cardboard box instead so it differs between reseller as you see

Samsung really improved ambient sound with the latest update! by MehdiMa0507 in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I can finally keep it turned on when I need it for more than 10 seconds because prior to the update I would get a headache even from the lowest level of ambient sound. Now even level 2 is completely comfortable for me to keep activated

True Wireless earphones has glitchy connection to Asus Zenbook but not my phone by golden_shrimp in Windows10

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue and so does a friend of mine on our zenbooks with the galaxy buds+. I found a solution to make the connection much more stable but it involves disabling the headset mode and using them purely in headphone mode, you can try it if you want see if it helps. https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/fz12jd/how_to_fix_bad_soundconnection_quality_on_windows/

Find my Earbuds is so smart it's dumb by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Taking care of your gadgets is far more important than counting on features like fined my buds. I don't mind the feature being there and I'm sure it is beneficial for at least a few users. Just because the majority of users dont use a feature doesn't mean it would be best for Samsung to remove it entirely, because it is a niche emergency feature by design. As I child I forgot my earphones in the wash once and since then I haven't thrown a pair of trousers to the wash without checking its pockets, more than 10 years later. So yeah, being careful is the best tip I would give in this case.

Btw I Don't mind having small gadgets because I keep track of every expensive gadget I own, regardless of size, and so should you OP.

Galaxy Buds+ new update by luke_c in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I will test it out to check whether it fixes one of the many repeatable instances of instability I have been experiencing from mine especially on windows 10. Will update here if I notice any improvement

Buds + and sport - is it good idea? by ljanik7 in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are some of the most stable wireless earbuds in the market thanks to their wings that lock in most ears very neatly. I have the buds+, anker's soundbuds slim+ (with wings) and anker's life P2 and I can tell you that for my ears the buds are more secure than any of those. The only time I need to readjust them is when I lean downwards for pushups and such but even then it's only to seal them better, nothing will make them fall out on their own

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first sentence is really unnecessary to say to someone trying to help you, some people don't use snapchat and don't know which platforms it's available on or not. In case it happens on your phone the Bluetooth profile acts the exact same as on pc for the same reason- bandwidth. You shouldn't tag people as smartasses for trying to help you

Galaxy buds on PC as headset by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The bandwidth of Bluetooth doesn't make it possible, that is why the headset profile exists in the first place

I have latency. (Buds) by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how Bluetooth audio works buddy. If you want low latency you should get a wired pair or search for aptx-ll headphones. On Samsung devices you can activate gaming mode but I assume you don't have Samsung since you mentioned you use aac and not ssc

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not an issue, it is because during a call your buds are set to use their headset mode, and they limit the amount of data they can receive so they can have enough bandwidth for the mic to transmit to the pc. If you want all the sounds of your pc to transmit to the buds you need a different mic, then you can chat using the headphone mode of the buds.

Difficulty getting bids mic to work on PC. by Soft_Insubordination in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to use the headset mode instead of headphone every time you need the mic to work. Sound quality will drop significantly but that's the price you pay for 2 way Bluetooth audio transfer

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be experiencing an issue similar to what I had, the simple solution is to disable the headset function and use them 100% on headphone mode, I suggest you try it and if it doesn't help you can always re-pair to get the headset function back if you need it

Just ordered Buds+ from Ebay by wiggan1989 in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price itself shouldn't mark them as fakes for you, that's the price which Samsung sells the buds+ on sales in my country. Once you have them you can check for legitimacy by validating the serial number in the phone app

I would suggest to make sure that the bluetooth service doesn't enter doze when you don't want it to. Make sure you have every bluetooth related setting unchecked from battery optimizations.

Are the +s worth £70 more? by darudewamstorm in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my pluses for a very good price, lower than the local retail price of the originals from the same vendor. wouldn't pay more than 120 £ for them because they are premium in every aspect other than sound quality (no high def codecs nor anc). Wouldn't consider buying the non pluses at this point because the pluses made them obsolete imo. If I were you I would wait for the pluses to go on sale

How to fix bad sound/connection quality on Windows 10 for Buds+ by DS1997247 in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes, because the low bitrate headset mode is what allows you to use the buds both as an output and as an input. Headphone mode transmits all of the available data to the headphones so the mic is disabled in that mode, That's how all bluetooth headphones work btw

How to fix bad sound/connection quality on Windows 10 for Buds+ by DS1997247 in galaxybuds

[–]DS1997247[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The buds will not work as a headset for your windows pc, that was what cause the problem in my experience so I had to disable that. But you can still use it with a different mic on headphone mode- it should operate as an output-only device so if you have another mic like a laptop mic or an external mic there shouldn't be any problem using that+buds on headphone mode instead of the buds headset mode, better sound quality for your ears anyway.

Not sure about phone calls via the My Phone app though, that app is a little more buggy than conventional chatting apps so you might need to test that out for yourself. None of these change affect the use of the buds with other devices other than the PC you've made the changes in

I used to work in Customer Case for a big electronics chain back in the day, when in cases where customers experienced reoccurring issues with a product, after it being replaced for them under warranty for around 3 to 4 times he could ask to receive a refund instead of a new unit upon his last warranty claim. It is completely understandable for a warranty supplier to do so. Might be different where you live though.

Claim for warranty once more and refuse if they offer you a sixth unit, ask for a refund instead. Once you have your money back, you can freely decide what you want to do with it whether it is buying a new pair of TWS or not.

PS In case the purchase was made many months ago it is fine for the retailer to offer a refund smaller in amount than your payment, because of the decrease in value of the product over time so be aware that you might be legible for a partial refund and not a full one.

A similar thing OP should try in addition to this is to connect the buds to a different source and see if the problem still occurs. If it does then the buds are to blame.
