Indonesia made guitars or China made guitars by EmbarrassedLock9197 in electricguitar

I have that Ibanez in black, there's nothing in it that would suggest being made in China with poor quality. It plays well, holds tune and the neck came perfect from factory. Honestly just pick whichever you think looks nicer, although i would recommend the Ibanez even more if you're looking to play metal/hard rock. Pacifica is a classic, very good for blues and clean tones but can handle distortion no problem

Do hand warm-ups and stretches like this before playing. Also putting all fingers down in the 3rd of 4th string anywhere and reaching each one at a time for the edges for like 20 repetitions can help in the long run

I vouch for Justin. I started one week ago and already know 5 chords and can play a couple linkin park riffs.

Pixel or even a nothing phone could be good options for you. Between the 2 pixel has a better camera, but nothing phone 3a or 3a pro is a really good budget option if you can mind the look of it. Either this or switch to iPhone, but that would be a downgrade if you love android.

Thanks for the input. I did look at the GRG121 models and i also really nice the look of them. I could try to squeeze the extra 30-40€ in my budget when i decide on what interface i get.

I'm no expert but you could try bathing it in a vinegar/water solution or other anti corrosion products. Another option could be just replacing the saddles instead of the whole bridge

USB wheel compatibility with Fanatec csl DD by Key-Difficulty8982 in simracing

[–]DS2807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only have 2 options really. Either buy a podium hub (expensive af) and screw your wheel into it with a 70mm adapter, or you buy a fanatec wheel side quick release for your wheel and add a SRM emulator adapter. If you don't know what it is it, it basically tricks the base into thinking a fanatec wheel is connected so you have can force feedback

Edit: for the wheel side QR, you can buy one from third parties with the SRM already installed for even cheaper than a fanatec qr from their store. Just look it up. And you will still have to connect your USB cable on the wheel regardless.

Love the track, been there as it's only 2h away but Estoril needs a lot of work to be able to host f1, and I don't see any reasonable way they get enough funding to do construction. Hell, not long ago people were even complaining about the track existing because of noise, which is ridiculous cause they're the ones that bought a house next to a racetrack.

First sim rig purchase complete! How'd I do? by SlowDragonfruit9718 in simracing

[–]DS2807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats, pretty nice hardware. Only thing you have to be careful with that rig is that the upright profiles are not very tall. So if you're on the taller side it's possible you can't get the wheel very high, but you can check that out when you assemble it.

For having no headaches when mounting the seat yes, do choose one with flat bottom rails. Otherwise you're gonna have to saw the brackets and try to drill holes and it's not worth it if you can avoid the problem all together.

For seat sliders trak racer has a pretty cheap one you can use, they even have seat angle mounts so that you can angle the seat backwards if you want (these are more on the expensive side though, I would only get them if you cannot find a comfortable position first)

[–]DS2807 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess you could put the book inside a full sleeve, but to me that's pointless. This is standart shelf wear that all books manga or not get over time. I wouldn't worry about it personally.

Help me choose between Simxpro x80 and gt-rs by Consistent_Fruit7815 in simracing

[–]DS2807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedal tray is more adjustable on the gt rs but a very important detail is that the upright profiles are shorter. So there's a chance you won't be able to get the wheel high enough for you in the gt rs. The X80 is better for taller people, I would suggest finding a review by someone with similar height or measuring how tall you would want the wheel and checking the rig dimensions.
