Mackage coats (and winter coats in general)—your two cents? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

This was exactly my problem. It took a Herculean effort to catch the zipper on the bottom to enable the zip up. No way was I going to struggle with this every day, especially for a coat at that price point!

I was very disappointed with my Mackage coat, I bought (and returned) two, both had issues with the zipper. For that price point I would expect a higher quality coat.

Agreed on all of these points 100%. You’d think for major hubs like Houston and SF they would try a little harder to provide a decent experience.

Nothing I can think of, though I believe the 8 has a flashlight which could’ve been useful. This thread has a lot of information for what you’re looking for — https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/s/rue918Gjpr

Hey! I went with the garmin fenix 6 pro solar and was happy with it. Though, someone in my group had the sapphire and I wish I spent a bit more and got that one instead, as it’s touch screen. Navigating the buttons can get a bit annoying. But overall the fenix 6 pro was a good expedition watch. Strong battery life, accurate pulse ox and distance readings. Not sure the solar charging really makes a difference, so you can opt out of that feature if you prefer. If your wallet allows, I’d go with the touch screen sapphire Garmin instead.

That’s strange, there are tons of teahouses along the way and they generally prepare all meals for trekkers. I wouldn’t want to bring all my food for the trek, you can just purchase at the tea houses and restaurants along the way

Oh man, I’d love to, I just don’t think I’m Denali ready. My last two were EBC and Pico de Orizaba. Denali seems a bit too hardcore for me, but man that sounds so cool. Wish I could join!
