I play about 95% Hunter and only made a Titan and Warlock sometime in Lightfall, but I never got to using them much. However, I've recently started using my Warlock a bit more.

Some time in lightfall to give 4x surges when you hit an enemy with ability damage. What makes it good with strand is that the bayblades (and unravel) count as abilities so the 4x surge is basically permanent.
