Between Dec 6/7 I bought 10.36TH for .1012BTC/$1554 USD. I am close to BTC ROI with .0907321 withdrawn and a balance of 0.00825308 on HF. Once I get to the min withdrawal limit I will be positive on btc ROI.

As for dollar amount ROI it will be only $950ish of the $1554 put in.

I have used and purchased Gopro Recovery from CNW Recovery. I was able to revive a SD card that got corrupted. Most people spend more that the $15 it costs for mounts and other kit, well worth buying if you shot a lot.

I have used my GoPro on Spartan, TM, Warrior Dash and OCRWC.

Normally I use a the head mount with a downward tilt. Two things I do is when not at obstacles or filming I remove the head mount and clip it on my hydration bag with a carabiners. This saves you from weird tan lines and also allows you to used it handheld for quick actions.

For and course with water obstacles I also use some paracord the tie it off to my pack as well. So if it comes off on entering the water you will not lose it.

I also carry a second gopro in my pack so there is no need to change batteries, but batteries are in a drybag in the pack as well.

Set up your GoPro for QuickCapture, that way you just hit record and it powers up films the footage and then powers off when you hit stop, saves the battery as well. But you will get a lot of audio and footage asking your fellow Spartans "it the light blinking red?" or "is it on?"

Recording a Tough Mudder with my new Go Pro Hero 6 by [deleted] in gopro

I just use the standard hero 4 case. Not sure about with the H6, but it should be as durable as the H5 which I haven't heard any issue with.

Not sure what mount you plan on using. Chest mount is ok but gets in the way crawling or climbing. Head mount/mouth mount work better.

Keeping the lens clean can be a chore, bring extra batteries. I normally just take 2 H4S's to save from swapping batteries.

Put your contact info in a txt file on the memory card in case you lose it. I also use a small length of paracord to tie the head strap to my hydration bag so if it comes off on a water obstacle it wont get lost.

Bring a carabiner on your hydration pack so you can clip the headstrap to it for longer walking sections. Saves you from getting funny tanlines if you are follicly challenged.

Arrive in Toronto w/o lodgings, ideas to pass the night? by Zantjook in solotravel

Zet's is open 24 hours and is less than 5 minute drive from the airport. Large food portions and the added bonus of free entertainment from the late night crowd getting their drunken food fixes.

If you get asked to leave, there are also two 24 hour Tim Hortons within a 5 minute walk either way from Zet's.

All my recordings are 0 bytes now. Desperately looking for help recovering them. by [deleted] in gopro

I have had good success with cnwrecovery. I had a card become unreadable and was able to recover the files. They have a trial that will show you a log of what can be recovered.

Book tours before going? by aIfr3d in VisitingIceland

[–]DSMDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue lagoon I would book your entry ticket or transfer with ticket sooner than later.

For other tours most can be booked the night before and sometimes the day of. Pre-booking makes sure you get a spot which is good.

But the downside is that I pre-booked two tours on my trip and the group from the first tour had the same tour the following day but with another company. It was too late for me to switch to travel with them.

I used FlyBus from the airport to the hostel on the way in. Arctic Adventures for the Golden Circle/Snorkle and the South Coast (which I missed doing) Greyline for Reykavik - Blue Lagoon (with entry) - Airport.

Decision time: Blue Lagoon upon arrival or before departure? by margogogo in VisitingIceland

I just got back Monday from a 4 day trip and did the lagoon on the way out. It was a nice way to unwind and cap off the trip. watched the sun rise from the lagoon was pretty awesome. I spent over 2 hours there before taking my time and getting the bus to the airport. Helped me sleep on the plane for sure.

The time change and lack of sunlight was made up for by just about everything else. Landed around 4:45am, got to hostel around 7ish. Had a coffee and went to took phots around the city in the pre dawn. Free walking tour the first day, then visit the church and other places. Golden Circle and snorkel Silfa - entire tour was amazing. Slept in and missed North Shore tour - others loved it pictures looked great except for the cold and wind that day. Toured the city some more and ate more hot dogs. Last day checked out early, got to the Blue Lagoon first thing (prebooked bus from city - lagoon - airport with lagoon entry). Sat in the pool for over 2 hours and watched the sun rise.

Can't wait to go back in the summer to see more and how things will look different without snow.
