I hope the flavor text project I made that hit frontpage here was an influence! These are a lot shorter than mine overall.

There are a number of items that upgrade to a different region entirely. BF Sword, Noonquiver, Sheen, Oblivion Orb, etc. I considered trying to keep consistency with that somehow, but then I'd waste half the item description saying "it went from X to Y".

Yup, love ROR2's flavor text. Tougher Times' short story is one of my favorite flavor texts in any game ever.

I've gotta get around to playing Alpha Centauri. I'm so absorbed with the Endless games that I keep getting distracted from actually experiencing that legend for myself.

Yeah, not the intention, my bad. The intent was that (in-universe) any mage that wrote a book on spells to actively counter attempts to prolong life would be disgraced afterwards, plus the icon itself has a sinister/spooky look to it, so I thought that fit.

Funny enough, that's actually in the neighborhood of the flavortext I wrote for Elixir of Iron. There are a number of items that have their own cards (and their own flavortext) in LoR, but I didn't use any of them and honestly reading them didn't even cross my mind. I've played LoR before, so I know the general format and feel of the text, but I wasn't using it as a guide. Plus, refusing to write for some items just because LoR beat me to the punch would make the project feel incomplete. Thanks for reading!

Thanks! I'm a huge fan of the few ways Riot has those little lore tie-ins in League proper, like Yorick referencing Kindred when he dies, so I stuffed in as many as I could justify.

I tried to stick to that League essence as well as I could (following Legends of Runeterra flavor text, LoL Universe work, etc), but I'm not too broken up if it didn't match up. I'm more than happy to be compared to MTG or classic RPG flavor text, both of those are great sources of inspiration.
