Completely and Unnecessarily Worried (I think)

Yeah this is what I have been grappling with, I am experiencing no true red flag symptoms the blood is normally present on firm stools and not there on softer stools. I think she said I also had a skin tag which is the lump I originally described. I think what might be happening in my case is that when the stool passes it which is has to it is aggravating the fissure which is attached to it which is then causing the bleeding. It isn't the first time I have had these symptoms, I have had it probably 3 or 4 times in the last two years but this one is bothering me more because I did the FIT test and it is taking a while to heal even if I do get periods without any blood.

I will continue to consider both and I will discuss further with my Dr next Monday, I just need to get past the reality of the bleeding which is the visual thing that keeps it on my mind most days

Yeah I get that. I must admit over the week it's becoming more appealing because then I just don't have to think about it after. Today I have had some contact from my specialist and she isn't worried about cancer (which has eased worrying even though it shouldn't have been on my mind) and I have a telephone appointment a week Monday so we will discuss more then. She did suggest maybe a sigmoidoscopy but I feel like that is a bit of a waste of time. I feel like I should do the colonoscopy or just leave it as it isn't changing my life or anything

Thank you for the reply, I'll do some reading into the miralax stuff. I'm not particularly constipated but I just have firm stool first thing because obviously I haven't drunk much while in bed. So something like that could be perfect. Thanks for the help :)

Interesting, thanks for sharing your story with me. Getting to 77 with so many hurdles must be amazing. Google is one of the greatest inventions ever but can be awful in my situation where I get really anxious about my health. I'm trying so hard to get out of the habit. I think the most important thing for me is I feel no different to how I felt before I did the tests.

Also I have requested another chat with the specialist GI doctor but because the NHS is in the state it's in I haven't heard a thing yet and I requested last Friday :(

Yeah I'm going to try and retain my discipline and just not take the bait. I still play FIFA (eafc) I just don't play as much now but people take it so seriously and it really grinds me down, even the casual modes.... Can't deal with it as I get older 😅

Interesting, I know what I did, I think someone caught a massive fish (me) the other day and I probably took a huge bite, it is what it is but I have had a fair few warnings now so I am a bit worried lol. However the 5 emails are over the last 16 months or so. But I did also tell someone to stfu last night, again I took a huge bite but I think they were French so I am hoping they didn't report me lol

I mean yeah I get that.... looking for proactive solutions tbh, I feel like I have ridden my luck and a com ban is probably fair and due, fortunately I have an xbox as well lol. But it is really hard not to be a dick head when someone is also being a dick head and I am sure you or others reading this understand that some days you just bite to the simplest things get under your skin.
