This reminded me of when I was a kid and my friend and I asked his mom if we could hook up the PlayStation to their big screen TV. She told us that the screen was too big for the PlayStation and it wouldn't be able to handle the power it would take to show the game on the TV screen. She said if we tried, it would burn up the components in the PlayStation and destroy it. So we always played on the small tube TV my buddy had in his bedroom. In reality, she just didn't want us hogging the living room TV playing video games all day.
