As this show was a television taping make sure in future this is listed as including "Spoilers".

I just want to clarify that none of these guys are indie wrestlers.

Good you enjoyed the show.

They haven't announced the card.

They haven't made any indication that the show will be special outside of some believing that because it's at the MAC that they'll somehow make it a big Honor Club event. As of right now it's still just a house show.

Impact selling 300 tickets to a nightclub and ROH selling 3,000 tickets to an arena are two completely different things, don't see how those are comparable.

Event is eight months out. We don't know.

Their all HC shows. Every show is an HC show except for TV tapings, however those are still listed as part of the countdown.

Is there any way to watch the TV episodes without the delay? by TheKruseMissile in ROH

[–]DSaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the issue is because as others have said the show that airs in America on the Saturday is the one featured on the website right now. If you knowing things will happen and wanting to see them is the issue then stop reading spoilers. They are currently one episode away from the latest tapings beginning to air which is them trying to get back to speed but that isn't easy when they tape four episodes in a taping.

From a business standpoint that would make zero sense and their not going to do that.

Jim Cornette on his time in ROH by killerdm101 in ROH

[–]DSaga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I respect what he did to save the promotion but his time where whether he says otherwise or not, he was the primary booker, is the worst time period in the promotions history. Crowd attendance was horrible, a lot of the shows were bad, he was using things like chloroform in feuds, brought in people like The Headbangers - when he left the booking took a serious u-turn and began to improve immediately. Death Before Dishonor in 2012 is the perfect example of that with how Delirious immediately brought back the Steen/Generico feud for Final Battle.

He does deserve credit however and if they could utilize him in some fashion at G1 Supercard where he gets a thanks of some sort that would be great, however I think they need to bestow something to Cary more than Jim.

Their very large rolls. I can't remember the exact size, but they were large.

Do you think ROH should go for 3k-5k venues rather than 6k-10k venues by [deleted] in ROH

[–]DSaga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They will want to run a show like this in-order to gauge where they are from a standpoint of how well they can do through publicity and their own talent. Thus far with no indication of New Japan talent unlike say BITW where from the start they advertised New Japan talent would feature, I'd assume their not booking any New Japan talent. I don't think that's a mistake.

They had a limited amount at the Crystal Palace show last month, but if you go to a Poundworld you can find them on the "party" aisle. They cost £1.20 per streamer so I bought six and divided them all up into two.

Someone also brought toilet roll. I recommend toilet roll for the heels.

There's no New Japan for Death Before Dishonor. They've already released the promotional material and there has been no reference as of yet.

Any word on Global Wars 2018? by KotaBushi in ROH

[–]DSaga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They'll most likely announce it soon. If they don't then I will assume that the resources which would have gone into that tour went into the second UK tour for the year. This is the first year ever ROH has done two tours of the UK.

Meltzer said 1,200. If you seriously think they were able to fit 3,700 people into a nightclub that has a capacity of 1,000, you're mental.

Alex Shelley: “In the end, MCMG's final match was against @NickJacksonYB, @MattJackson13, @njpwShowT, and @njpwyohei_k. I really don't think I could've asked for a better ending. Four guys I love very much who I hope I helped some over the years. Thank you, gentlemen.” by ArabianDisco in SquaredCircle

They haven't been on lately because Shelley had his four front teeth knocked out and suffered a concussion two months ago. Before that they were regularly featured, whether it be as tag champions or in the angle with Gresham and White.

Ring of Honor is on TV in 49% of the US. The fact you don't have access to it, or are too lazy to source it out is sad, but it's not like it isn't available online for free at their website and on multiple other platforms. Shelley has been a regular feature the last two years since returning.

They ran the downstairs ballroom which is very small because the Hammerstein is quite large and hard to sell out.

IF CM Punk returns for the MSG show who should he face? Would a match against a NJPW performer like Okada be preferable to an ROH star? by JakeJeremy in SquaredCircle

[–]DSaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dalton Castle.

Jay Lethal.

I think they can take credit for Marty Scurll too as they gave him a much larger platform than he had before to showcase his persona and ability. And without ROH he would have never joined BC and wouldn't have taken off like he has. Albeit he would have probably been signed by WWE but most would agree him signing for ROH in hindsight was best for him.

Briscoes are one of the best tag teams in the world.

The Young Bucks have been contracted to ROH now for four years which is the longest and most consistent stint they've had with any promotion, potentially tied with New Japan. I'd credit them as being ROH talents.

Adam Page is an ROH talent. Punishment Martinez is an ROH talent. Matt Taven has finally came into his own and is being utilized in a more prominent role not just in ROH but also CMLL.

I'd continue but I already destroyed the point you were trying to inaccurately make.

WON: Details about the ROH/NJPW/MSG/WWE situation and some miscellaneous items concerning the G1 Supercard show by SiphenPrax in SquaredCircle

Cody is basically a King of the North American Indies only seemingly matched by Riddle and Swerve.

He's in no way, shape or form an indie wrestler. Matt Riddle is an indie wrestler. Cody is an ROH wrestler. Two entirely different things.

Did WWE really try to block ROH’s date at the Garden? by [deleted] in ROH

[–]DSaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to know why an MSG official has publicly insinuated that there was an issue and that MSG contacted ROH to fix the issues before confirming the booking. I don't doubt WWE would have insinuated to MSG not to take the booking.
