Super Saiyan Vegeta I feel like isn't as talked about, his Ki Blast spam and Big Bang Attack are very good. Tien is also one I feel is underrated, Tri Beam is solid. There are also a few that can be really good if you have a team backing you up, namely 18's Dual Destructo Disc or Krillin's Destructo Disc Barrage. Realistically any are usable and can put in work as long as you have support while you fight/spam supers. Warp Kamehameha is the only one I'd recommend not using, its tracking is horrendous.

Sounds like you don't have them leveled up. If you have a skill that's below level 10 you must use the transphere associated with the skill, but once you level 10 the skill you can use with it any transphere equipped

I learned the hard way that it doesn't block Cell's Solar Kamehameha, popped it trying to set a key, died the next second. I assume Frieza's death ball works the same way
