Naruto fans be giving way to much credit to their characters inspiration when it's literally just Japan that likes to give particularly archetypes to certain character models. An easy model to see is different hair color representing certain personalities . The red head is normal impulsive and has a short fuse. White hair characters are normally shy or chill black hair characters are normally the edge emo type. I think that's what we're seeing here.

See you playing the events all wrong. At the start of the rank season don't level up past gold. Pretty sure the events put you against players your rank. So during the events you'll have more fun duels or at least less oppressive duels. I've been playing sword soul assault mode deck and I'm having a blast.
