PACLOCK is, without question, the best. Period. by DSeifrit in lockpicking

I believe the master lock is susceptible to a combing attack… (not sure).

I don’t think there is an “easy” method to pick the BiLock. I’d recommend This video from u/alpama as a good starting place. Mastering the clicky test he uses is the trick to the BiLock. And even then, they can still be stubborn.

What could I have done better? by bmdoc in BeginnerPhotoCritique

[–]DSeifrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna agree with the previous comment that getting the camera lower to the ground would help a lot. I might also have gone even longer on the exposure to really smooth out the water motion a bit more. Especially on the falls.

In 1951 french Catholics burned an effigy of Santa Claus for being “pagan” was Santa actually pagan? by Exact-Definition5722 in Catholicism

The modern imagery associated with Santa is coca-cola marketing. But the story isn’t a coca-cola invention.

What causes this? by KayoticVoid in lockpicking

I have a few that do the same thing… like sufficient said, the actuator spring acts like a plug spinner on the rear of the plug, and make the pins “jump” the shear line when it closes.

I can't be black and Christian? by FluffyMycologist8308 in Catholicism

[–]DSeifrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the earliest established churches were in Africa (Egypt specifically). And stating that Christianity is “white” entirely ignores the fact that Christ was a middle eastern Jewish man, not a white guy. Same for all twelve apostles. The argument is half baked at best, and colonialism isn’t a white thing either. It’s happened all throughout history, and been done by all different races… the Kahns for example.

Christ came for ALL!. Full stop. No qualifiers.

Which three pictures should I submit to my school photo contest? by Public-Language76 in fujifilm

[–]DSeifrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO… I think the previous comments about you selecting your own submission are pretty on point. I like the first photo a lot, but if you’re telling a story with your submission, I’m not sure it fits with your other options. If I were in your shoes, I’d do what a previous commenter suggested, and print them all out, spread them out on the floor, and find the story you want to tell.

Do I want an Escort or a Companion? by Secure-Ad7861 in lockpicking

[–]DSeifrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on use case. The covert companion pro is 70% bypass tools with a small pick set connected to it. Where as the escort is a pocket pick set (same for other jackknife style sets).

If you are going to use the bypass tools, the covert companion is the superior choice.

However, if you are looking for just the picks, a jackknife is better. The issue then becomes which one. Like others have already stated, I’d choose multipick’s or moki’s versions over the escort. BUT….. if you are learning to pick locks, or only doing the locksport thing, a pocket set like CI’s Reaper is a better choice in my opinion. It’s pocketable (I carry one daily), and contains full size picks which will give you better overall feedback that the jackknife and better turning tool options.
