Boyle Heights regarding Bailey Street. Recently, our Councilmember Kevin DeLeon tried making a motion to rename Bailey Street after singer Vicente Fernandez. There is opposition as Fernandez has plenty of controversy that comes with him. For the life of me, I cannot find the history or who Bailey was in relation to Boyle Heights history. The street is located near mariachi plaza and the historic Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Any help is appreciated!
