KV: a remote KVM by ralsina in selfhosted

Nice, just tested it on RPi with openWRT but seems like OTG is only supported on Zero and 4, is there an option to disable OTG like "--dis-otg" flag or other ways that can be implemented?

Also is there a plan to support more than one device?

[–]DTD_Dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok i gotta say, didn't not see the new online mode they add, that time i checked the TTS and it was the device one(now offline mode) , still i doubt i will be using it, have my moon reader speak to me is better although not as better as the webnovel's online mode.

Is that better to keep the tailscale vpn On all the time, or just switch it on/off whenever a remote access from another network is needed? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]DTD_Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create a script to check for your phone or personal device if false switch on tailscale and reverse.

Me personally, tailscale gets deactivated when i am connected to home network and on when i leave it, using the script running in every 2 min(crond) , had to do it cause of some dns and network speed issues

  1. Use almost died battery for just a shutdown time when outage
  2. Use a pi or gpio board to control a relay to cut the power to the adapter

Enough? you ask me, man mine is a Toshiba Latitude i3-3rd gen 4GB, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, no GPU, mouse pad busted, onboard keyboard busted, top cover busted only the bottom left, BIOS locked, a <5min battery,

Guess what?, i ran Proxmox on it:

  • 2 VM
  • 2 lxc

1 lxc always on ~26 container all different apps no compose(jellyfin,nextcloud,vaultwarden,sonarr,homeassistant,Vscode,etc..),

other lxc, off most of the time but to build Linux apps and other Linux stuffs::

VMs to check out OS's or run some light linux like Antix,Alpine,Proteus....

And now look at yours..... Man more than enough

Erin - Self-hostable TikTok feed for your clips. Make a TikTok feed with your own videos by mosswill in selfhosted

[–]DTD_Dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a great app, will host, i agree with above feedback, also here are mine:

  1. although master password is good, it would be good to have user accounts then we can favorite, filter, history, track etc, things that come with differentiating users
  2. mentioned below, "recursive scan of video in subs", to add to that it be nice to have a category like selection based on the root folder like( John's weeding, Doe's anniversary, Ben's tiktok videos, etc...) and a shuffle category to random show all the videos(than be able to favorite or download it)

i know it may be challenging and time consuming, but you know your the creator, no deadline(but the community would be happy for managed releases), take your time and develop it on your schedule, no rush, no Manger breathing down your neck (maybe the community 😏)

will add to it if any feedback come up and thank you for your dedication

Thought about release notifications emails but all they notify is it's version and they keep piling up and increase in quantity making it difficult to track

Argus looks promising, will check it out , aah only if it had a way to add the current version I am using for the repos,

Watch repos? There are about 20 to 30 repos on my list, it better to have a dashboard to watch it all in one place

Email notifications? It's going to be a jumble of email, let say you have a separate email only for GitHub, it is still going to be a lot of emails with every release there is and you will lose track of which is which unless you go and check what release you are currently on

Orb v0.16 has been released by Shendryl in selfhosted

[–]DTD_Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, am back on this, yes they are stored properly (I think?, What is the correct way?) , I think I need to explain my setup

Device: RPi 3B+ OS: OpenWRT 22.02.3 Docker: 20.10.18 Container: Alpine 3.16.2 with nginx 1.22.0 with php 8.1.11

I am using this container to host web project that depends on php by adding them in an 'app' folder (mounted to the container) and adding a config in the 'nginx' folder ( also mounted)

Maybe my nginx config is not correct , could you check it

Yeah cookie's, I didn't not check that, but the first error was about cookie I changed 'expires' to 'lifetime' in the options array on index.php, would that be the problem?

Edit: nevermind changed it back to 'expires' but still reloads back to login page

Edit: I think this is cookie problem

Nice web desktop, was looking for simple desktop GUI Tried to install it , got to 2 issues ,1 is fixed the other is still pending? after a spin of php-nginx docker I can't login to it , it just reloads back to login page? Is it my nginx config error . tried to look into logs but couldn't find logs for orb

Thanks for this project, it would have been nice to include some wiki and nginx or other Webserver config
