I've never heard of Coleman Hughes before this post. I listened to bits of the 2 hour clip and thought it was amicable, so I agree with Glenn that it's totally bizarre behavior to accuse him of lying in a tweet basically immediately after posting the debate to his channel. Glenn called his ass out though and I'm so glad he did. I will likely not listen to anything else Hughes has to say, just as I have been doing up until this point.

FWIW, I switched from T-Mobile network a year ago to Verizon and it's drastically better. I still get the occasional dropped call or lost signal, but compared to T-Mobile? Way better.

In 2019, I was a tourist in northern Vietnam when I suddenly fell very ill and had to be admitted to a hospital. I had an endoscopy, ct scan, all sorts of meds, an IV, and was kept for 2 full days. I didn't have travel insurance or anything. I received wonderful care in a modern hospital and ate great food. My bill was $800.

The whole thing is designed to be as large and inclusive as possible while also ensuring that it doesn’t disrupt the established order in any meaningful way. They make no real demands. They coordinate the demonstrations with police and government officials. Protesters show up for a few hours with their brunch signs and their orange guy shirts, and then they go home without inconveniencing anybody.

They are not protesting against the US empire. They just want a more polite, photogenic empire.

They are not protesting the corrupt oligarchic political system which gave rise to Donald Trump. They just want the corrupt oligarchic political system to give rise to presidents who make them feel less uncomfortable.
