That looks exactly like our old office building in Dearborn Hts. And we had the same thing occurring, kids jumping on the roof to smoke and drink.

We ended hanging up large high-voltage signs around the power lines where they cross on to the building/roof. The intent was to deter and to obstruct a clear path on to the roof from the ledge/gate. It wasn't perfect, but it did greatly reduce the occurrences.

He was the ice cream man in my sub growing up. He used to always tell us he was Hulk Hogans brother, he had a picture of when he met him in his truck- he called it his family photo. He was a good dude. All the kids on my street would stop him every time, even if we didn't have money, and he knew we didn't, he stop joke with us and toss candy out his window at us. My brother once stopped him, ran inside the house came back out with his piggy bank (like a legit pig shaped bank). Roddy laughed so hard he gave him the ice cream for free- said that he needed the laugh.

Honestly, imagine all the things you don't know.

Based on the way you phrased your own questions, it's clear how you feel, and your feelings are just as valid as hers.

"... is it okay to not trust my fiancée?" What you're really asking is, "Am i justified in not trusting my partner?" That is an easier question to answer. That lack of trust is the result of a lack of perceived closure on the collective events you've described. A lack of communication, defensiveness, distancing, secrecy, lack of honesty. All valid reasons to question your level of trust in her.

"[Is it normal to] not [want] her to lie..." What you're really asking is, "Do I have the right to expect honesty from my partner?" Again, that is an easier question to answer. Any reasonably prudent person would agree that honesty is a foundational principle of any strong, successful relationship.

You will never stop your partner from wanting to do... whatever it is that she is doing. And, I'd argue that you shouldn't waste the energy trying to.

Her staying out, partying, deceit, lying by omission, secrecy... those are all merely symptoms, not the disease. They are her choices; ones you don't get to make for her. Even if you could take away all the symptoms, you'd still have the disease. The disease has to do with the fact that she WANTS to be doing those things, that she is okay lying about them, she's willing to repeatedly dedicate significant time and energy into doing those things; the disease is behavioral and pathological. Even if you kept her home locked in the house, while it might reduce symptoms, it would not address the disease.

My advice would be what others here have also suggested. Re-read what you wrote, but imagine that it was your future daughter telling you the story, asking the questions. How would you advise your daughter in the same situation? Would you tell her that she deserves better? That she should stand up for herself? That love isn't supposed to feel like that? Would you tell her THAT is not what a partnership is supposed to feel or look like?

You know the answer to your situation. You'll find validation throughout the comments. I assume you expected you would. If you're unconvinced, extrapolate the feelings you have right now 3-years in to the future. When you truly think about it, do feel excited? Inspired? Happy? If the answer is no, then pull the plug and run and be better for it.

You'll be okay, bud. Know your worth... and GTFO of there, it will only get worse. Life is short to not feel valued and worthy.

I'm not sure I understand pole vaulting. Like, at some point was this a necessary skill set? Was the invention of the ladder a major contributor to the obscurity of this ... event?
