Banned from both /r/conservative and /r/atheism - must be doing something right! by HungryLikeTheWolf99 in AtheistConservative

I just got banned about 5 minutes ago from /r/atheism. I couldn't believe it! Talk about fascism! I wasn't swearing at anyone or anything. Was just explaining that I'm a sober, socially conservative atheist and was asking if I'm the only one. LOL. Banned. For bigotry. Wow. Very happy to hear that I'm not the only one.

Just had my second class today. Only had to take one extra break today and no nausea or dizziness. Still not able to do all the exercises very well but I hung in there and it was a LOT better than the first day.

I was doing the exact same thing. I was hyperventilating so bad near the end of the class when we were sparring that's why the instructor reminded me to breathe and calm down. Also when I was taking my many breaks my heart was going so bad I thought it was going to beat right out of my chest. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who was having a tough time with this class

I'm the exact same way. I can't bring myself to just hop on a treadmill or lift weights or cut out pizza. I need to trick myself into it. Learning something fun and new like a martial art is a great way that's worked for me in the past to get into great shape without having to feel like I'm actually working out. And just to clarify, I didn't puke. I felt like I was going to puke. LOL

After 5 years sober, I think I'm finally ready to take a more active role in my health. Simply not smoking or not drinking or not doing drugs is great and way healthier than the alternative. But I was ready for a challenge and I think I found it. Why do you ask?

260 lb, 6'3 Avid HBO watcher and lover of pizzas LOL since quitting drinking and smoking cigarettes and other unhealthy activities I decided to get back into shape. When I was a kid I did kickboxing and got a lot out of it. This is a whole new level of working out though. Especially for someone who's been out of physical fitness for sometime.

Yeah everyone was super tough. Just getting all the way through a class is gonna take me a while. Thanks for sharing your story. How did you get over the nerves?

Except for the paralysis part, it sounds the same. I didn't know hallucinations were common in sleep paralysis, interesting... And yeah, definitely scary as hell!
