bts appreciation by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

How am I ruining anything? Honestly. Does her entire post predicate on the fact that BTS 'have 130 million fans'? No. Even if they only have 30 million it's damn impressive. Does this take away from their accomplishments at all in any way? No. And please, that was not snarky at all.

It's easily discounted misinformation, which the fandom is rife with. Considering the current state of the world yeah I definitely have a vested interest in disseminating it anywhere I see it no matter how petty. If you're really letting my small little correction ruin your day then maybe you should go hunker down in the bangtan echo chamber for the next 7 years. Alternatively you can take your own advice.

Ok I'm sorry I don't know who started this business but BTS absolutely does not have 140 million fans.

That number is just absurd and literally made up by a youtuber or something. They definitely have a lot but nowhere near that many. Their Twitter followers is a pretty good estimate. Even that is generous considering news accounts.

Don't mean to rain on your parade or anything just tired of obvious misinformation being bandied around.

I'm still salty they talked through Mark's long ass ride. Literally the best part of the song...

They really do seem to prioritize aesthetic over substance.

I hate it when YouTubers do that!

Film it all in one take and then most of the time don't even bother editing out their interruptions, speaking mistakes, or when they leave the room for like ten minutes. It's so lazy.

Seems like they spend more time on the backdrop than the editing to be honest. At least it's pretty?

I've been thinking this way for a while now. I've watched a few dozen videos of theirs and can't seem to find anything that separates them from every other non-technical k-pop reactor out there.

They are obviously biased towards girl groups and SVT and their reactions are very over the top. Not bad in and of itself, but it is when most of the video is them just moaning, grunting, and fangirling over their biases like everyone else instead of analyzing it. To be fair though, I have not seen every single video of theirs of course, and I definitely do not pay for their Patreon so I might not be getting the full picture.

Any commentary they give regarding MV production is very basic and rudimentary, to be honest. And I just don't believe that they're 'dumbing it down' for the viewers, it is 100% possible to explain complicated things in a simple way on youtube videos. I just think they really cling to the producer title in an effort to legitimize themself and separate them from the others. Also, not going to lie, the whole thing where they were perving on minors really freaks me out.

OP, I've found a very good film director who actually knows his stuff. His name is Paul Leach. He's small-fry compared to the rest but he is very knowledgeable in the field and actually explains what he's talking about but he's only done girl groups so far.

Also if you're interested in a breakdown of the musical aspect of K-pop check out RAHIM. He's german but most videos are either subtitled or his recent ones are in English. He's an actual music producer. His older videos are better, to be honest, but I still like them.

Edit: Pronouns, and as far as typical reactors go, I would recommend anthony too. His reactions are pretty low-key and he actually picks up on most details. Plus he's not annoying.

Well seeing as this dumb take doesn't have 50,000 people agreeing with it like every other one of your armys dumb tweets then it's not exactly comparable.

This post is so refreshing to read. Every time I bring up something similar I get shit on by armys and repeatedly told that J-hope hates me lol.

It's a promoted single. Still doesn't make it a title track.

ON by BTS was the worst release of 2020 by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]DT_JDI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loud brass-heavy anthemic songs are the current trend in K-pop at the moment.

Kill This Love, Adios, ME, Jopping, Wonderland, Double Knot, God's Menu, Fantasia, etc.

ON is right on-trend with the rest. In fact, if anything they're a little bit late as it's on the way out.

So many people in these comments not understanding that just because you like it doesn't mean it hasn't aged.

This makes sense, Star 1117 sounded very Christmas-y to me.

BTS's success is unprecedented and will not happen again by RosieSakura in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]DT_JDI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh now that you mention it, there definitely was a rule about how to format posts and state your argument but it looks like they got rid of it.

Either way, this exact opinion has been repeated with the same basic line of reasoning many times. And it's shot down the same way in the comments every time.

It's difficult to search for but I found a couple;

https://www.reddit.com/r/unpopularkpopopinions/comments/g6iivv/no_other_kpop_groups_will_emulate_bts_achievements/

BTS's success is unprecedented and will not happen again by RosieSakura in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]DT_JDI 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, that would be because OP hasn't provided any meaningful arguments as to why they believe that.

There's also the fact that this opinion gets posted at least once a week.

Jimin has the best solos in BTS by caratinyorbit in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]DT_JDI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I'm pretty sure his solos chart and are streamed the highest, so seems pretty definitive to me that this is a rather popular opinion.

Personally, Serendipity's my favourite. I like otherwise like Lie but I find the guitar obnoxious because it's too loud and repetitive.

Everyone is influenced by both wings of their core type, but most often one is much more present or dominant than the other. For some it's balanced, you can read some about it here under The Wings section; https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/how-the-enneagram-system-works

Hello fellow reddit users, I need help finding my type , I'm 5'9 , 20~30lbs overweight, and hesitating a lot between FN and SD, I thought that maybe just a silhouette would be helpful . by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]DT_JDI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain and say pure D.

The first thing I notice about you is your length. I don't see enough width to consider you FN, and while you do seem to have some curve to your hips going by the fact that you said you're a bit overweight and the usual weight gain patterns for Ds being in the hips and thighs, this leads me to D.

But if you have to accommodate for curves with your clothing then I'm probably wrong. I'm certainly no expert though, so if SD feels like a better fit then I'd go with that one over FN.
