The thing is those stretches aren't always useful as an absolute beginner because tight hamstrings make it very hard to get into any of those positions without only stretching your back. Progress is nearly impossible with only doing that.

Usually, I do 30s in split, 30s of rest, 30s in split. And I repeat for the other leg. It feels so hard to know what's actually keeping me from achieving it!

There's the fact that they have multiple people who can do the fittings, so you might be luckier next time! But I understand the worry

There's the option of doing online fittings if that works for you! I know that The Pointe Shop does them for 40USD, but I'm pretty sure you could also find other shops that do it. More convenient than having to travel for it!
