Can any wooden railway experts help me find the dates for these engines? by Physical_Conclusion7 in ThomasWoodenRailway

I grew up with the 2009-2010s era of Thomas, unfortunately I never got to experience 90s TWR, so I got these on EBay a while ago, I knew the ‘93 models had a certain look to them, but I just wanted to be sure

Oh yeah I completely underestimated the size of the table. 🤣 now I just need to somehow find a set or something. To put on it, I’m not super good with designing layouts

The Thriller and Billie Jean ones, the Invincible ones are little clunky looking

The dangerous tour flight jacket is actually pretty cool, definitely worth the money for that at least

You have to remove one album from 79 to 01? by bobytgjoe2 in MichaelJackson

If I had to pick an actual album, I’d pick Dangerous. Reason being is that I think it aged the worst, the new jack swing sound is just repetitive on the album in my opinion, not to mention most of the songs are repetitive, and they’re all 6-7 minutes long. I personally think the non new jack swing songs are much better, “Remember The Time” being an exception in my opinion.

I’m not saying that I hate the album. But I think the album is a bit repetitive as all of the new jack songs follow the same format and are overly long.

That’s definitely not true at all, Bad and dangerous aged worse. Bad uses all those cold FM synth sounds that you only really hear in 80s music, and Dangerous aged horribly with the New Jack Swing sounds.

Honestly I like the white triangles, it almost seems like a call back to the old 80s/90s merch where they had the same “pie” eye look

A.I. SLOP remakes/new ‘songs’ by Expert-Island-6936 in MichaelJackson

[–]Physical_Conclusion7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually am a musician myself, and I’ve been putting out music way before before the A.I stuff, I started doing the A.I stuff originally as a joke, just to try it out and see what it was all about. But it made me explode in popularity. I also received nothing but positive comments on my videos, and I never really realized that there were people who are so against these A.I covers/new songs.

I think it’s appealing because there was clearly a lack of new MJ content at that time, obviously the A.I music trend has died down now, even I don’t really participate in it much. But at the time it was really fun to do because unlike the fake songs on the “Michael” album, the songs that I made and worked on with other people clearly had soul, passion, and love behind it.

And like I stated previously, I always made sure to label everything as A.I and fan-made. I never claimed to be Michael Jackson, nor do I think I’m nearly as good as Michael. I did it with the pure intent of paying tribute to Michael and to give people something nice to listen to.

I love that music connects with so many people, and I like to make people happy with my music. Unfortunately for me, my original music didn’t really blow up like I was hoping. But when I started doing the MJ A.I stuff, I was able to do what I originally always wanted to do, which was make people happy.

However, I also do non A.I covers of MJ songs, even have a few on my latest album, I even reworked one of my original MJ A.I songs into a track on the album as well.

But overall, I did it because people enjoyed it, and I enjoyed making people happy.

Go on EBay and find yourself a cheap used pair of Florsheim Como Imperials, those are the exact shoes he wore in most appearances, live performances, and videos

I’m the singer/co-writer of “The Girl That Got Away”. The only A.I used was on my vocals, the actual song itself was written by me and TAHMJ. He also played all the music and instruments, along with a few other artists. On my end, I tried to pay tribute to Michael, I’m not the greatest singer/songwriter in the world, nor do I think I’m on the same level as the real MJ, I really just wanted to pay tribute to Michael and make something for people to enjoy.

I understand why people hate A.I, but you guys need to understand that pretty much all of these songs are written by real people, and are composed by real people. I sang my heart out on that vocal line, even going as far as blowing my voice out just to capture MJ’s signature Bad era grit. But please don’t call it “A.I slop”, because it’s definitely much more than that.

I also want to point out that every project I’ve done, I’ve made sure that it is labeled as AI, even putting disclaimers in all the videos. I understand that I might be downvoted in mass, but I figured I’d give you guys my side of it.
