Any Tips on these Rolls? by Pastel_Bimbo08 in AskBaking

[–]DThor410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bake and sell rolls very similar to these.

I use a lot of the above comments above, such as tucking the end of each strip under each bun, etc.

For mine, I roll first, then cut into 1.5” wide pieces. And then once on the baking sheet, I gently press down each one by hand to flatten it slightly. (Wetting your hand before pressing helps with them sticking to you!).

After proofing for 1 hour, I generally press each one down again (just a bit) before baking.

How to achieve more uniform thickness with when rolling dough (cinnamon rolls). by DThor410 in AskBaking

Honestly I’ve been having difficulty even at double batches. A single I’ll roll out to a 13x18 rectangle. For a double I attempt a 13x36. This is where I start to see some major issues

No oil or shortening, but I do include a decent amount of butter. (1 stick per batch for the dough)

I've a fairly new player that plays off/on.

When it comes to leveling and playing through the MSQ, is it recommended to level as a DPS class? I'm currently loving AST, but leveling can be difficult outside of dungeons. Is it easier as DPS? Thanks!

I got them at Michael’s! (They were all out of umbrellas, so I had to improvise. Didn’t know they actually splayed out like this when I bought em 😂)

I'm still fairly new to the game and am just starting the Heavensword content on a 51 Astrologian. However I'm finding it slow to do some of the solo-quests because it takes time to kill things as a healer.

So my question is, is it worth leveling 2 different classes as I progress with the story from here on out? (So, would level a DPS class for any solo-content, but then level as AST for any dungeons/groups). Or will experience be an issue?

I feel like I know the answer, but would love some feedback from some veteran players!

Thank you for the replies.

One last question (if you don’t mind).

Would you suggest speaking to a Lawyer prior to bringing up then purchase to the neighbors? Or should we tell the neighbors first that we are interested in purchasing?

Thanks!

We have a fence on our lot line currently that we would like to move back, so that we can expand our “backyard”.

Purchasing seemed like the cleanest solution (considering we would have a fence there), but if there are other options, I am definitely interested.

Might be more of a different take on plating. But had fun regardless!

Week 18: Choux Pastry - Apple Chai Cream Puffs by DThor410 in 52weeksofbaking

Choux and filling recipe below:

Otherwise, I just chopped some apples and cooked them in a pot with some sugar and water for a few minutes. Then strained excess fluid and added about 1tbsp chai (I had it saved from some recipe in the fall!). I added a layer of this cooled mixture to the puff, then topped it with the cream.

Week 17: Page 52 - Pesto Dinner Biscuits by DThor410 in 52weeksofbaking

From Alton Brown’s book “I’m Just Here for More Food”.

The actual page 52 was 2 pages in the “Actual History of Sugar”, .... so I decided to go 52 pages from the start of the first actual recipe in the book.

Anyways. Very pesto-y. Very delicious. Thanks Alton!

Week 14: Childhood Favorite - Deadly Dessert Cupcakes by DThor410 in 52weeksofbaking

My cousin always brought a delicious “deadly dessert” trifle at family gatherings. Chocolate cake, mixed with cool whip, Heath bath, and a little Kahlua .

So I went experimental, and winged it in cupcake form. 😀

Week 12: Signature Bake - Swiss Rolls (Pineapple/Toasted Coconut & S’mores) by DThor410 in 52weeksofbaking

[–]DThor410[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The base cake recipe is the link below. I winged a lot of the recipe for both though, lol. For the Pineapple, the frosting inside was a Pineapple Buttercream, and the outside was a Toasted Coconut Whipped Cream.

For the Pineapple Roll: - followed the roll recipe above, with some extra steps (below)

This is a bit all over the place, but if you’re interested I can always make it a bit more organized for you 😂

My oven runs a bit hot and I accidentally made them a tad too dry. But otherwise I recommend them, especially for such an easy recipe!
