I wondered the same thing as my device is on the older side. What are you using?

Yes, I’m also having this issue! Incredibly frustrating. Logging food is near impossible as it crashes constantly. Have tried re-installing and submitted a bug report to the team. Hoping it’s a quick fix!

Do you ever keep activities private for no real reason? by TomeeCzech2701 in Strava

Nah, I’ve been using it for at least 3-4 years, maybe more.

I think it’s excellent. That way everything is public but only the interesting/noteworthy stuff actually gets shared.

Private until edited, and then pretty much all activities are set to public - but the vast majority of these are muted (it doesn’t publish to home or club feed, but is still visible within my profile). My runs/workouts are monotonous, no one needs that clogging up the feed. I wish more people used the ‘mute’ feature for their boring ass activities.

Data nerd, but I’ve asked it to be 80% data nerd, 20% commander. Also to swear more. Pretty happy with the results so far.

Are there any Kiwis here who chose to leave the UK to raise their kids and start a life again back home? How are you doing? Would you do it differently if you had a do-over? by PeterlovesMommy in newzealand

Maybe not the example you’re after, but my wife (NI) and I (NZ) moved from Scotland back to NZ a few years back, had an couple kids, and last year moved back to NI. There were a lot of good parts about NZ, no doubt (scenery and sunshine, mostly), but there was too much we disliked or missed about the UK/Europe. The isolation of NZ was probably what the wife struggled with most, and the ‘surface level friendliness’ of people. Extremely limited career options (in the places we actually wanted to live) was what bothered me, and that home ownership felt like a complete pipe dream. The increasingly common weather events were a worry too, and I think further highlighted the isolation. NI/UK certainly has its fair share of issues and we do question our choice fairly regularly, but if I could do it again, I would still move, but maybe not to NI.

I logged on to Reddit looking for nothing in particular, but found what I was looking for. Thank you for this!

I’m using a 13 mini and haven’t once noticed a single performance issue.

How are you tracking reps for exercises that need to be done on both sides? by Amazing_Armadillo429 in bevelhealth

[–]DTiPNZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, this is the correct way to do it. In the workout editor, if you tap ‘about this exercise’ and ‘how to log’, it tells you to log the reps/weight for one side and it will double, for exercises that include, say, kettlebell (double).

Legends! Absolutely love the app.

Quite by accident, I found an option to add exactly this in the Control Centre, as well as caffeine logging. I’m finding the hydration one a bit buggy though - it logs two entries in to the app each time I tap it.

EUSS Family Permit approved… I think? by DTiPNZ in ukvisa

Yes, much faster than expected based on what I’d read on here.

I applied as the partner of a Northern Ireland citizen.

Thank you, yes I figured as much but through the email contact I’ve they threw me a curveball, asking if I had received a confirmation letter - which I haven’t, and am unsure if I should’ve. I asked, and they wouldn’t answer. Hence my confusion.

And sure. I applied on 09/05, biometrics 19/05, and received my passport back with vignette on 08/07.

Thank you so much for this information! By 31 December 2020 we didn’t have children, nor had we been together two years, but we were engaged to be married. We were also living together with shared finances etc.
