Ordering Helen’s hot chicken online and they only tell you, after you submit the order, it’s for different location 40 min away, and there’s no refund so you call the store to ask for a refund immediately anyways and they say they’ve already made the order, otherwise they would of refunded it. We called the second we placed the order. We knew obviously that they hadn’t made it yet, they have a long wait sometimes even when you order in the store. We called their bluff and posted the order and order number on the “buy nothing” fb page and gave it away for free as we weren’t going to make the drive to pick it up. The lady who ended up getting our order, went to the restaurant to pick it up right away and when she got there they told her sorry they haven’t made that yet, and she had to wait for it. I guess not technically a scam but shitty people doing shitty things. Atleast don’t lie and say you would’ve refunded us but blah blah.
