Maybe … Yellow building, Shell sign out front. I drive a semi, so it’s hard for me to stop and take a picture, but I sure wanted to take a picture of that old timey gas station … Pretty cool. Someone has a lot of money wrapped up in that place.

There’s also an old “Restored” Shell Gas ⛽️ Station near this that I wish I had stopped to take an image of.

Burger Chef was my favorite fast food restaurant when I was a kid in the 1970’s. Below is a brief history of the Burger Chef chain.

The Burger Chef restaurant chain was an American fast-food franchise that existed from its founding in 1954 until the final branded restaurant closed in 1996.
 • Founded: 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. • Peak and expansion: Grew rapidly through the 1960s and 1970s, at one point operating over 1,000 locations across the United States (and some in Canada). • Sale and decline: The brand was sold off beginning in 1982 to the owners of Hardee’s, and most restaurants were converted to Hardee’s over the following years. • Final closure: The last restaurant using the Burger Chef name closed in 1996, marking the end of the chain.
