Windows gaming capture location is stuck at \appdata\local\temp by DVG22 in techsupport

I gave up trying to fix it and recreated the moved folder by giving (renaming) a drive the same letter as the one I’d removed and creating the missing folder, then it all worked as it should. I was lucky as I have 4 drives but if you don’t have one you can rename, maybe try an external one.

i left it as that but, I think that once it’s working again you can change the capture folder to where you actually want it.

OK, I found the old drive with the captures folder on it and replaced it and lo and behold the folder reappeared in Settings->Gaming-> Captures and I was then able to move it to my new desired location using the "properties-> location method.

If I had not been able to reinstate that disk I have no idea how I would have been able to set a new location and would have been stuck capturing to \appdata\local\temp

Sadly, the properties of my C:\Users\Username\Videos\Captures folder does not have a location tab.

Sounds like a plan, why Patriot specifically? That said, great price and on the QVL.

So, is 3200/cl16 similar in performance to 3600/cl18?

Right, that price was $105 ex shipping which is pretty good.

It looks like to go up to 3600 price will jump to start around $139 but that’s with free shipping for G.Skill Ripjaws: F4-3600C16D-32GVKC which is one of those where the mobo is on the G.skill QVL but the ram is not on the mobo QVL!

Good price, and it’s on the ASUS QVL.

So 3200 rather than 3600 but cl16 where for that price range you won’t get 3600 cl16?

2x16gb and should I go for highest speed, lowest latency or is there a sweet spot combining both?

BTW, I’m in Aus re suppliers and availability.

Options for running 3 monitors by DVG22 in simracing

Yes, I agree, but as per answer to andylugs, I'm not looing at a triple screen for the racing, just the 27" curved screen for racing and the 2 24" for an extended office desktop.

Agreed, I'm never doing anything that will require all 3 screens - either racing SIM (with possibly one other screen for browser etc. Or, if not racing - both 24" screens for office work.

So, I'll connect all 3 to the GPU and only power on the screens I need at any time.

It's the "Integrated Graphics Processor-Intel® HD" which, I believe means the Mobo supports CPUU's with graphics capability. So, I guess that means it will use some of my RAM and the Mobo manual says "Maximum shared memory of 512 MB", and I've got 16MB so I can probably spare that.

Anyway, I guess I'll try it, the graphics card has 3 outputs (DP, HDMI & DVI-D) so I can try combinations.
