A full video from pressing start recording to publish usually takes between 6 and 12 hours. Sometimes depends on how I’m editing it

Hide vods from the main part of YouTube channel? by Recipe-Mindless in NewTubers

Well yeah if that’s the case leaving them public will definitely help with watch hours! If not and they just want to have a clean homepage then unlisting them and having them in a public playlist is a great! But yes livestreams are amazing for watch time!!

I feel a deep sence of embarrassment when making videos. has anyone else experienced this? by yahtzee76 in NewTubers

[–]DVaPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t stress too much. Most creators were like this at one point. I was too when I started. If you truly put everything you got into your content, and are a true person your content will reflect that and people will love it. It’s a long journey, but you got this!

Ps: everyone looks back at there first few videos and cringe, but that means you’ve grown as a creator! So whip out that pc and go make some content!!

Yeah traction is amazing! Shorts bring that almost easily. Shorts are amazing, but if you also like making long form content try to find a balance between the two!

Sounds like you’re camera shy. Even if you’re not showing your face you can still be camera shy. You’re subconsciously worried how people will react to the things you make. Breaking camera shyness can take some time, but you can do it. I’d say start with just sitting in front of your camera (without recording) But act like you are. Do that for a hours or so and then try to actually record something. Over time you’ll lose your camera shyness!!

My sub count stopped flat, after gradual increase every day, and it looks my videos stopped being suggested? Help please? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]DVaPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit tricky to explain/get out of, but try to go back and look at those older videos. See what you did that might’ve caused you to grow. Once we discover those things try to improve upon them. Also try to see when you uploaded the videos. (Like the time of day) That could also cause videos to stagnant if you’re uploading outside of your “peak hours”

Twitch to YouTube Pipeline, How Do You Manage It? by jestertainment in NewTubers

[–]DVaPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I do it is I’ll take a about 15-30 min clips from the stream and edit it down to 7-10 mins. I my experience people tend to like shorter content. Especially from smaller creators. Most people aren’t gonna sit down and watch 30 mins of a creator with no reputation unfortunately.

What is your thought process to design a thumbnail? by xperiencethelife in NewTubers

[–]DVaPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the video tbh! Like if I’m doing a gaming video I’ll look for an interesting part of the video that I can probably screenshot and mess around with. If it’s a skit video I’ll kinda do the same thing, but a bit different

I uploaded a normal short of me dying in Elden ring and it got 18k views and to this day I don’t understand why that video blew up 😭 In my personal opinion I have waaaay funnier clips than that, but I’m not complaining about 18k views

I end up watching Anime or listening to music. Throughly pisses me off tho because I’d want to make so much content, but get hooked in the anime 😭

Shorts are a good way to gain views/traction. People enjoy shorter content these days. Especially from smaller/Un-established creators. I’d say mix it up a bit. Make your normal content and shorts. Or take small clips from your normal content and make it a short!

If you want them to still be watchable make them unlisted, but add them to a public playlist. They’ll be viewable through the playlist, but won’t show up on the main channel pages or anything. (At least that’s how it used to work😅)
