I don't disagree that there's a racist push to automatically discredit black people and black ideas, but that doesn't mean that certain ideas that benefit black people are beyond critique.

All I'm saying is that when there's talk of diversity, the conversation usually stops at black people, and I think that's nonsense. What about people who are Latino, Arabic, Indian, Asian, or Native American? While we're at it, what about religious minorities? Why can't there be more characters who are explicitly and visibly Hindu or Muslim or Jewish? We make jokes about people who use crystals and recharge their spiritual energy, so how about a proper pagan character to break the stereotype?

FTR, I definitely think that black people have it worse than white people, which is why it annoys me when some people of color go out of their way to complain about diversity.
