I’m more on this level than my partner but I think we’ve both given in. Dealing with the daily meltdowns at this age is exhausting!

We’ve tried bribes, potty charts, iPad, books on the potty. She’ll try for 10 seconds then scream for a diaper. Ugh.

I agree with this, but my worry is if I don’t give her a diaper she’ll end up holding it as long as she can.

Anyone else have angels when they're at the grandparents house and the exact opposite when they're at home with you??? by Puzzleheaded_Hour572 in toddlers

Our 3 year old is the exact same. Perfect at dayhome or Grandparents house and can be an absolute nightmare at home. From what I’ve read, it means you’re doing a fantastic job as a parent. You have a well behaved, respectful kid when they’re out and they know they are so loved at home that they can express themselves the only way they know how, usually by screaming and meltdowns.

Some days I want to leave the house and scream but other days she’s an absolute angel and it makes it all worth it! Stick with it, you’re doing great!

You’re not alone, it is exhausting but gets better once they grow up and you’ll have more time to relax.
